Further details

The owner's home adjoins the villa and she is available to suggest places of interest to visit, restaurants, where to find the best beaches and generally to smooth the way for the holiday that suits your needs, whether busy or relaxing. The owner, Jan, is only there IF and WHEN you want contact; the only times your paths may cross is on pool cleaning and laundry changing days.

Further details indoors

Once in the villa there are no steps or levels to contend with. The shower room is large and in addition to the WC and hand basin has a bidet. One wall in the shower cubicle has a tiled bench. The pool terrace is large and in full sun all day long. There is a sun blind over the sliding doors through which you enter the living room offering some shade. The mobile BBQ is sited at the rear of the villa where there is an additional sofa, chairs and table for relaxing. The villa is well equipped for visits to the beach with cool boxes, umbrellas, toys and, on request, beach towels can be supplied for a small charge to cover washing. The satellite television provides BBC and ITV channels plus BBC and many other radio channels.

Further details outdoors

There is a bench for a quiet moment in the small private garden and bird song fills the air. There are sturdy loungers with thick mattresses on which to relax at the poolside plus table and chairs for al fresco meals. On the shady rear terrace are sofa and chairs with a coffee table.

The Algarve region

Central Algarve is an excellent holiday base as you can be in Spain or on the West Coast of Portugal just one hour from setting out.
The Algarve is the southernmost region of mainland Portugal.
The maximum recorded temperatures in the Algarve fluctuate between 25 °C in winter and 48 °C in summer, with the temperature never usually falling below zero in the winter months
The Algarve is a popular destination for tourism, primarily because of its beaches, Mediterranean climate, safety, cuisine and relatively low costs.

Santa Barbara de Nexe

The pretty village of Sta Bárbara is just two and a half kilometres to the south of the villa and offers a selection of bars and restaurants, hairdressers, post office, laundry, two supermarkets and a garage, in fact everything you may need whilst on holiday. English papers are on sale in the village too. Restaurants are diverse and offer family fayre on a budget as well as something for a special night out and are located in and around the village.
