We can offer discount car ferry crossing to our guests. Parterre is an ideal base to explore the island whether by walking, car, bus or the island train.Towels are not provided but may be hired.Each apartment operates its own electric meter which requires £1 coins.Well behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement direct with the proprietors - charges will apply.

The Isle of Wight lies off the South East Coast of England and is framed by 60 miles of picturesque coastline with subtropical temperatures. This is the driest area in the country. The island has one of the largest volume of all weather attractions for its square mileage in the UK. There are various events and festivals that take place all year round, these incluse the largest walking festival in the UK, the Isle of Wight Rock Festival, Cycling Festival and the well known Garlic Festival.There are many places of interest to see, the famous Needles and Alum Bay with its coloured sands, Osbourne House - home of Queen Victoria, Carisbrooke Castle and Godshill with its historic church and plenty of tearooms and many more.

Sandown

Sandown lies on the South East coast of the island. It still retains its own Pier and Victorian charm with a lovely blue flag beach and bay that stretchers from Yaverland Beach to Shanklin Beach. Sandown is the home of the Isle of Wight Zoo and the famous Dinosaur Isle.There are plenty of shops to browse as well as cafes, restaurants, pubs and a lovely park area for children and adults to enjoy, with crazy golf and bowling etc.You can walk from Sandown to Shanklin along the cliff path or the esplanade.The Heights Leisure Centre is located in Sandown with gym, swimming pools, well-being centre and classes for all ages.The local train station enables you to take the island train to Shanklin & Ryde. There are also plenty of bus routes to take you around the island.
