6 Gloster Terrace is a very spacious, end of terrace house on Sandgate Esplanade. The property has many modern features, while managing to still feel true to its roots.
The house is over four split levels.
Wi-Fi internet connection.
The ground floor offers an open plan kitchen/diner.
The modern fitted kitchen, has, a range gas cooker with 6 burners & double oven, dish washer, fridge/freezer, microwave & coffee machine.
There are French doors opening to an enclosed rear courtyard.
The dining area has a large dining table and chairs, sea views, a stereo system with CD player, radio, & turntable to play the large library of vinyl records.
Also on the ground floor is the utility room, having washing machine, tumble dryer & butlers sink. To the rear of this is a wet room with shower & WC. Ideal for washing off after a visit to the beach.
The first floor offers a double bedroom with ensuite WC.
Also a spacious L-shaped living room. This double aspect room has an open fire, two settees, two chairs, folding card table, flat screen TV with Freeview & DVD player. There is also a piano & a selection of books, not to mention the lovely sea views.
The second floor has the family bathroom. This spacious room has bath with shower attachment and shower screen, also a large wash basin. There is a separate WC.
There is a bedroom having two single beds.
Also on this floor is a spacious double bedroom, with sea views.
The top floor has a single bedroom with small TV, ideal as a kids getaway for games consoles (please bring your own console).
All beds have duvets.
Linen included in the rental.
Please don't forget to bring towels.
The property is let Saturday to Saturday.
There is a good selection of local pubs, several with real ales. Also various takeaways & restaurants, including Indian, Mexican, Nepalese, fish & chips, etc.

The Kent region
6, Gloster Terrace is set in Sandgate which is about 1 ½ miles from Folkestone town centre.
The beach is just across the road & has views from Dover to Dungeness with occasional glimpses of the French coast. The beach is very popular for bathing, playing & Beach fishing. It is rocky in places directly opposite the house, but this clears within a few hundred metres towards Hythe.
There is a sea wall with wide promenade for walking or cycling.
There are local shops and public houses within ½ mile. Sandgate has a selection of small shops, pubs, restaurants, take-aways and antique shops.
Hythe is about 2 miles away & has a lovely pedestrian High Street with a selection of shops to suit most tastes. There are also some nice pubs and restaurants. The Romney Hythe and Dymchurch miniature railway is on the outskirts of the town. There are also several supermarkets.
Folkestone town centre is within 1 1/2 miles, having shopping centre, pubs, etc. Also fishing on day charters & from the harbour wall.
The coastal play park is just off the sea front which is a level walk along the sea wall from the house.
Dungeness is well known for sea fishing as well as its lighthouse which can be climbed and there is a RSPB bird reserve and fresh water fishing lakes. In Lydd there is a water sports centre with wind surfing, power boat racing and go carting. Other attractions in the area include Dover Castle, Bodiam Castle, Hever Castle, Sissinghurst, Hastings and Canterbury with its shops & Cathedral.
There is horse riding at Saltwood.
Hythe has tennis courts, a park with football pitches, indoor swimming pool and there is a walkway to the town centre along the Royal Military Canal.
The Royal Military Canal with boat hire, fishing and walkways .
Other local attractions are:-
Sound mirrors. Fore-runner to radar. Above the Military canal, just outside Hythe
Brockhill Country park. 54 acre park with stream, lake, woodland & meadows in Saltwood.
Folkestone Racecourse. Kent's only racecourse, 4 miles from Hythe.
The Bonehouse. A somewhat macabre place of interest. One of only two in England. Containing thousands of neatly stacked skulls & bones. Situated in the crypt of the parish church. Open May to September.
Port Lympne Wild Animal Park. Only a few miles from Hythe.
There is a coastal park, children's play area along by the seafront between Sandgate & Folkestone.
