The flat includes: a hall-corridor, a sitting room, a kitchen, a large double bedroom, a little single bedroom, a bathroom, 2 TV sets, a terrace with a view on the Cathedral square. The flat is very cosy, also if it isn't small. Windows in every room (even in the hall) make the flat very bright, also if it is very cool in Summer. Pedestrian area right in the centre of the town, with lots of shops. Nice walk to the Casino, ten minutes walking to beaches. Being a pedestrian street, it is very quiet, no cars passing by; only the bells chime sometimes... :-) Very pleasant!
Although it is a very lively square, with welcoming restaurants and cafeterias, and in some periods of the year there are music and theatre performances, from the flat noises and voices are heard soft and from a distance, thanks to the high position dominating the square. The terrace is an excellent viewpoint!
Living right in the centre, having shops, restaurants, the Market Hall selling fresh food open on every day, the market selling nice items of the Italian fashion and craft, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, all nearby: all very comfortable and interesting!
Prices vary according to season/period.
Close to buses; train station in Corso F. Cavallotti.
Free parking is not nearby. Paying carpark, quite cheap, close to the square.

The Italian Riviera region
Sanremo is a lovely town on the Mediterranean coast of Western Liguria, in North-Western Italy. Founded in Roman times, the city is best known as a tourist destination on the so-called Flower Riviera. It hosts numerous cultural events, such as the Sanremo Music Festival, the Flower Parade, the Sanremo Rally and the Milan - Sanremo cycling race.
The climate, due to the privileged geographical location, is mild all the year round, allowing the growth of tropical plants in the extraordinary botanic gardens around Villa Ormond.
Sanremo is worldwide known as the capital of flowers thanks to the gorgeous gardens, the multicolour flower beds, the tropical plants that are kept in the City Parks.
Flowers raised in Sanremo's lands are sold worldwide.
Famous people loved living in Sanremo, such as the Czarina Maria Alexandrrovna and the scientist Alfred Nobel, whose house you can still visit.
Sanremo, City of arts, culture, and sports: fishing, diving, boat racing, sailing and off shore, tennis, golf, horseback riding, baseball, swimming, fitness, holistic wellness.
Sanremo exotic gardens, and seaside promenades. It is also renowned for its flower growing and olive oil production.
The town is very close to the French border at the western side of the Riviera: half an hour-driving to Montecarlo, an hour to Nice.
Sanremo oldest part is known as “Pigna”, a medieval town where you can have nice walks along the ancient lanes, climbing up the hill to see the old Sanctuary church called Madonna della Costa, with its typical baroque style, and to get a breathtaking view of the bay.
The Russian Orthodox Church, which was built for visiting Russian aristocrats, was also built in San Remo as specifically requested by the aristocrats who were attracted to the mild weather of this area. It is near the promenade called “Passeggiata Imperatrice”, dedicated to the Czarina Maria Alexandrovna; nearby is the Liberty style Casino, built in 1905.
Other Liberty style buildings are Villa Zirio, which was the residence of the German Kaiser Frederick William III, and Villa Ormond which is currently the siege of the International Institute of Humanitarian Law.

"Warm, comfortable, cultural and inspiring"
A great location, the three of us were very happy in this charming apartment in the center of old Sand Remo. Close to beaches, within walking distance from everything, an amazing fruit and vegetable market around the corner, excellent cafes and restaurants right at the doorstep. Most gracious hosts who made our stay very pleasant. Our vacation in San Remo was an unforgettable experience that we hope to repeat soon. Highly recommended!
