Location description from owner

The Tuscany region

Tuscany is located in central Italy and it is famous for both its beautiful and varied landscape and artistic heritage. Medieval villages, historical towns and castles, country abbeys and monasteries abound and then of course there is Florence, birthplace of Michelangelo, the city famous for its beautiful architecture and wonderful museums and art galleries. Tuscany is also famous for its many spas: Montecatini, Saturnia, Montepulciano, Monsummano and Bagno Vignoni, which offer relaxing holidays thanks to their thermal waters and well-equipped facilities for all types of treatments.

San Casciano dei Bagni

San Casciano dei Bagni was first inhabited in Etruscan times and has always been famous for its thermal waters. It now has one of the best spas in Italy where you can relax and enjoy treatments and the warm spa water. Val d'Orcia is just a short drive away to the north and to the south within a few minutes you are in Lazio and in less than 30 minutes can drive to the Acquapendente 9-hole golf course. Lago di Bolsena is just a short distance from Acquapendente. To the west it is just a 15 km drive to the motorway that takes you to Rome and Florence.
