The Cottage Beyond is a unique luxury award winning holiday home with a stunning pool hall rated 5*Gold Award by Visit England. Ideal for family holidays and celebrations of every kind. This one off large family home has been transformed from a modest farmworker's cottage into a fabulous architect-designed, contemporary residence brimming with “WOW” factor. Sleeps up to 14 adults & 2 children in 6 bedrooms, each with their own shower/bathroom. The house is set in the heart of the family's 260-acre organic mixed farm. In addition to the wonderful, large, secure private garden, you have the freedom to explore the farmland's rolling hills and valleys. As well as cattle, chickens and the farm dogs Pepsi & Elbie, you'll find ponds, woodlands with picnic tables, the Bathealton stream leading to Watery Lane and Pooh Sticks bridge, and fields with views to the Quantocks and the Blackdown Hills.You have exclusive use of its own Spa Hall with private heated indoor pool, hot tub and sauna as well as the beautiful landscaped private garden with gently sloping paths, a large lawn area and an active bird table that is mesmerising to young and old alike. Outdoor furniture, tree seats, giant bean bags & loungers means there is always somewhere to relax in the sun or shade.The garden also has a trampoline, roundabout, swings, slide, croquet, badminton & clock golf. There is a large undercover, all weathers games room with air hockey, Connect 4 & table tennis table to keep the children and the young at heart amused for hours.The L-shaped indoor heated swimming pool has both a shallow end (1.2 m) and a deep end (2 m). It is 13.5m at the longest point and 6m at the widest point. A large patio & a decking area with BBQ and garden furniture means relaxing and enjoying yourself is hard to avoid. “Beyond expectations”

Beautiful retreat in the middle of nowhere - a hidden gem. Fantastic facilities, with a lovely garden and awesome spa! Took advantage of outside catering; Flora Bartlett who delivered a delicious Xmas meal! The house was extremely well equipped and had a wonderful family atmosphere, a brilliant place to go as it suits all ages!

We loved harvesting eggs for breakfast, watching the deer, lounging in the spa hall, long walk to the pub in Appley, listening to the owls at night, devouring huge quantities of cake, mass tea drinking in the master bedroom, alcohol and gala dinner. Everything was perfect.

We booked this property for a big birthday celebration . It worked perfectly for a mixed group of friends . There's tons of space for different factions and the spa hall is just stunning. Christine and Alan were great hosts and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Lots of things to do but you do need to drive as it is a very rural setting. Lovely walks and a magnificent setting on the family farm. The Cottage Beyond Is brilliantly equipped and is really comfortable for a large group. We will be back!

I had a fantastic reunion weekend here with friends and family. The girls were happy with the 'spa facilities', the children were thrilled with the swimming pool, swings and trampoline, and the men happy with farm walks and sky sports! It seems like they have thought of everything here! We even fitted in a trip to the local microbrewery. Thanks for a great stay.

How do damage deposits work?

If Christine (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
