PureChalets specialise in offering fully catered ski & snowboarding holidays in the charming alpine village of Samoens. We also offer a range of catering options in the Summer. The company is privately run and owned by Andy & Liz. We have created a warm atmosphere to ensure that you enjoy a relaxing & stress-free holiday, and the chalet is ideal for families.

Chalet Orion is our brand new catered chalet. It is located in an ideal position around 200m from the town centre, one of the best located chalets in Samoens, with breath-taking views of the village and mountains.

Breakfast and afternoon tea with homemade cakes is served every day of your stay.Tea, Nespresso coffee and fruit squashes are available all day. A delicious four-course evening meal with quality wines is served on six of the seven nights you are with us. Chalet Orion has plenty of après ski entertainment on site - a luxury four seater hot-tub with amazing mountain views, a Wii console and an honesty bar.

Samoens is one of the most beautiful villages in France. Part of the Grand Massif ski area, which connects five resorts including Flaine, Samoens is on the doorstep of an awesome 265km of pistes, starting at 1600m and rising to 2500m. The chalet is in a great location, less than a 15 minute walk to the main Grand Massif Express lift and only a 2 minute walk to the centre of Samoens. Geneva airport is just one hour away and we offer a transfer service to get you to and from the airport.

Getting around

For self-catered guests in the summer we recommend hiring a car to visit Annecy and Chamonix. In winter you do not need a car - we can arrange airport transfers, and we provide a private shuttle service for you to the ski lift.

Interaction with guest

If you are one of our catered guests, then you will have contact with us and our team throughout your stay. We will serve you breakfast and dinner and generally make sure you have everything you need. For our self-catered guests, we meet you at the property at check-in, and we are hand if you need us during your stay to help you arrange activities/book restaurants, etc.

We had a wonderful stay here. The chalet is very roomy clean and bright. Only problem was not having access to a washing machine during the summer break( there were 6 of us), otherwise superb. Loved the hot tub. Andy and Liz(owners) very helpful and gave excellent advice on what to do in the area. 5 minute walk to the village which has lovely restaurants (hill involved). opportunities for cycling, tennis, and a swimming pool within the village. Well-stocked supermarket. easy access (by car) to surrounding villages. We took part in white water rafting, local walks with stunning scenery and visited Chamonix (less than an hour away by car) where you can visit ice caves. Would be very happy to go back.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
