“A perfect cottage in which to stay in a beautiful country setting”

Reviewed 5 Oct 2015

This is definitely about the best holiday letting that we have stayed at. The cottage has been beautifully converted from old farm buildings and the owners have thought of everything. There are grab rails for the elderly and toys and games provided for children. The cottage is immaculate with all facilities, warm comfortable and homely. A french door from the lounge leads out to a patio with table and chairs, (plus a small BBQ) overlooking the fields where sheep and cattle graze and there is a lovely view over to the old local water-mill. You are given a warm welcome on arrival from the owners and their friendly dog, who does not bother you again. The village of Sambrook is attractive and boasts good pubs, notably The Three Horseshoes. Strongly reccommended

“Excellent accommodation, tranquil location.”

Very comfortable cottage, attractively decorated, with delightful views over the fields. Thoughtful extras were provided including fresh eggs from the farm, and a personalised welcome letter. A lovely place to stay.

“Lush!”

Loved our stay at Churn Cottage, Sarah & her husband very welcoming, the views are wonderful as well as the best mattress I've slept on in ages! Deffinately planning to stay again such a lovely place!

“Beautiful cottage-perfect for Lillishall”

Reviewed 13 Jul 2014

We have just returned from our second stay in this cottage and it was just as good as the first time. The cottage has been tastefully decorated and very well maintained and improved. It is spotlessly clean and has amazing views across open farmland. The patio area takes advantage of this perfectly. Lots of little extras from fresh eggs to milk and toiletries all make it more special! The cottage is located in a small village with a nice pub serving good value meals only a 5 minute walk away - if you don't want to cook in the well equipped kitchen. We chose this cottage initially because of its location to Lillishall. Our daughters have played basketball in tournaments held there and it made a welcome retreat at the end of the day. All in all a great place to stay. Sarah (the owner) is very welcoming and responsive to any questions.

“Wonderful cottage at Sambrook”

Reviewed 15 Jun 2014

I stayed at Sambrook cottages twice now. On both occassions I had a great time. The cottage has everything one needs, is very comfortable and Sarah is very welcoming and helpful. While I had to d exams at Uni, my fiancee used the time to go for walks and enjoy the beuatiful landscape surrounding Sambrook.

“Lovely, clean and comfortable-First Class Accomodation”

Reviewed 12 Apr 2014

Churn Cottage has everything you could wish for-home from home. Lovely and clean, well equipped, warm and comfortable. Sarah the owner is lovely, and a thank you for the eggs, milk and fruit on our arrival. In a beautiful area, with lots of places to visit, and we did all the walks supplied by Sarah from the cottage. A very relaxing family break. WIFI great to have too.

Thank you for your lovely comments, it has been a pleasure having you all stay with us. I'm glad you enjoyed the circular walks from the cottage which I have supplied, I must do more of them as they have proved to be very popular.

“Modern, clean, spacious accommodation and friendly and helpful host”

Reviewed 26 Jun 2013

We have stayed at the barn before and could not fault the accommodation at all! It is a very central location for many attractions such as Cadbury World, Drayton Manor and Chester Zoo, to name but a few! Having small children, the fact that it is self catering suits us far better. The cottage has everything you could need for a trip away and also has an enclosed rear garden which is safe for the children to play in. Our hosts provided toys and DVD's for our children which we very much appreciated. We will definitely be back!!!
