“Couldn't have wished for better - everything we hoped it would be & more!”

Reviewed 30 Sep 2015

This was booked by me for my family & friends as a location for us all to meet up to celebrate my husbands birthday. To be honest I was a little nervous as I had booked for other people, but I had no need to worry everything was just perfect, very clean, comfortable with lots of little extras including birthday banners & balloons, fresh flowers, fruit , eggs & milk. The kitchen was very well stocked with basic cooking ingredients like, flour, gravy stock, salt, pepper etc there were also other useful items including foil, plastic bags, cling film, dish washer tablets, laundry tablets etc a real home from home. The owners Sarah & Andrew who live next door were very welcoming & on hand if we needed them. We had kids with us & Andrew kindly let them bottle feed the calf Jess & took time to tell them all about her life on the farm. Towels & bed linen was all lovely crisp fresh & white. We will definitely be returning it's the perfect place for a stress free break with family & friends, beautiful accommodation & views.

I'm so pleased you all had a lovely stress free break, it was great to meet you all and it was our pleasure to talk to you about life on the farm, we would love to see you back anytime.

“First class weekend - perfect!”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2015

I simply cannot speak highly enough of the location, accommodation and helpfulness of our host, Sarah. This barn is set beautifully at the top of a field of sheep, looking across a stream and historic mill. Morning coffees and evening BBQ's simply would not have been the same without this fantastic view. It was also the first time many of us had stroked a sheep! The barn itself was clean and well-equipped, suited perfectly to our group. Sarah was also very accommodating and personable with regard to adjusting our group size last minute. All ten of us felt immensely chuffed to have found this place and to have enjoyed such an idyllic spot at a reasonable price. Please keep up the good work, Sarah & co - don't change a thing! Hope to visit again next year. Don't hesitate to book this slice of Shropshire calm!

Thank you for your lovely review, I'm so glad you all got chance to soak up the view,a morning coffee sat on the patio watching the farms sheep & cows graze in the peace & quiet is a great way to start the day. We would love to welcome you back to Sambrook Manor anytime.

This is a perfect place for a break away from it all.We stayed here with our daughter to attend a close family friend's son's wedding and it could not have been better in anyway. Very clean, with everything you could possibly need.Lovely views from the sitting room. Owners very friendly and helpful.

“Brilliant accomadtion plenty to do”

Reviewed 25 Mar 2015

Stayed for 3 nights and wished where'd booked for longer. The photos on the web site didn't do it justice. The grandchildren enjoyed feeding the chickens and the baby calf. We all enjoyed our stay and would recommend Sambrook Manor Cottages for a great time away.

“Idyllic and practical”

Reviewed 18 Aug 2014

My family - niece, nephew, sisters, husbands, my parents - stayed at Sambrook Manor Cottages in the run up to my wedding. The cottages themselves are brilliant and had everything we needed - from cots to dishwashers to plenty of space. The location is beautiful and nibbles the sheep provided much entertainment for the children. Sarah and family were both welcoming and non-intrusive at the same time. We would most definitely stay again if we were back in the area.

Thank you for your lovely review it was a pleasure to have you & all your family stay with us, I'm glad the cottage had everything you required for your stay including entertaining sheep! It would be great to see you again sometime.

“Happy wedding weekend”

“I want to live at the Sambrook Manor Cottages”

Reviewed 3 Aug 2014

This was just an unbelievable experience. Beautiful place, beautiful weather and the most genuinely kind people we could have encountered. We were in town from the states for a wedding and this was our first time in Shropshire and I have to say, it was the highlight of our two week trip in the UK. Great location for day trips and an opportunity to see a nice slice of English life away from the big cities.

Thank you for your lovely review of Sambrook Manor cottages, I'm glad you enjoyed your first trip to Shropshire, it was great to meet you all and I would love to welcome you back again sometime.

“Five Star Self Catering Accommodation”

Reviewed 11 Jun 2014

Our Group of 6 Adults and 2 Children (3 & 1) stayed for 3 nights at the Old Shippon to celebrate a 50th birthday. The cottage is beautiful, layout is perfect, location outstanding and absolutely everything you need is catered for (even fresh-laid eggs!). The weather was mixed during our stay, with the children really enjoying the outside space when sunny, but there was a Wii, DVDs and board games all to keep them entertained if it was wet too. It was quite humid during our stay but I can imagine the under floor heating being very comforting during the winter. Over-all I would highly recommend this accommodation and hope to be back at some point.

Thank you for your lovely review, it was a pleasure having you stay and we would love to welcome you all back anytime when hopefully the sun will be shining.

“A perfect holiday home”

Reviewed 22 Oct 2013

The Old Shippen is an extremely well thought-out conversion of farm buildings with every need catered for. Each of our group of four adults had a double bedroom with the two bathrooms (complete with towels and a basket of toiletries) conveniently situated to serve two bedrooms. The large central kitchen is very well equipped and fresh eggs, milk and flowers were awaiting us. The large lounge with its mezzanine floor has lovely views over the Shropshire countryside and opens onto a good size patio. The property is very well maintained, spotlessly clean and the the owners very helpful and friendly. I look forward very much to returning and hope for a longer stay next time.

“Really lovely cottage in a picturesque location”

Reviewed 10 Oct 2013

We had a fantastic time at Sambrook Cottage. It's a great place for adults and kids alike. The kids especially loved the big garden with sheep to feed. There were loads of toys and games provided as well. The location is lovely with lots around to do and places to explore. I can't say enough how helpful the owners were (we had a nightmare with our car which could have ruined the trip if it wasn't for their help). I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a great time away from the usual busy lifestyle.
