There is a small well cared for garden at the entrance to the apartments, and although the apartments do not have a swimming pool the adjacent hotels do ,and generally speaking as long as you buy refreshments at the hotel poolside bars you may swim. However as the sea is only 75 metres and has safe bathing for all ages it is not usually necessary. There is a children's play area directly opposite the apartment. There are a certain number of allocated parking spaces , but these are first come first sevrved...so we can not guarantee you would have a space. Plenty of on street parking

Location description from owner

The Costa Dorada region

Salou was originally a Roman port, later invaded by the saracens from north africa, in mediaeval times it was used as a base for pirates. Tourism took off in the 60,s and today has developed into a truly cosmopolitan resort with something for everyone.
The climate is mediterranean ,low humidity, temperatures in winter of 55-60 deg, spring 63-70, and summer 73-90 degrees. In summer ther are gentle cooling sea breezes. There is very little rainfall ,this tends to be mainly in Mar/April and Oct/ Nov and usually consists of short duration very heavy showers sometimes with impressive electrical activity followed by a return of the sun.

Salou

“Great value, large family apartment with everything needed. Just bring your rubber gloves as the cleaners don't like cleaning!!”

Reviewed 3 Feb 2013

Loved the holiday. Bit concerned with the balcony rail height at first but i guess it was ok. Couldn't fault the hospitality as we turned up early and were allowed to leave our suitcases while the cleaners prepared the appt. Had a lovely week with no issues. Our 2 year old loved it and his granny and papa did too. Spacious rooms with everything needed for an excellent self catering holiday. Location great just up the hill from the smaller beach and next to the strip. Pub noisy at night behind but as i was mostly in it that wasn't a big issue!! Last day we left early doors in the usual rush leaving the room in a serviceable but used condition and sadly this was turned into a day of overtime for the cleaners who reported that 4 professional people and a 2 year old baby boy left the place in a horrible mess!! This was sarcastically told to us by the owner after i emailed him thanking him for the easy let and quality of his apartment. I did get my deposit back and if not for the passive aggressive nature of the communication from owner i would have been giving a 5* review all over. Forgot to ask Sean if the cleaners got the 30€ we left tip. They had a good day that day if you count the overtime they had!!! #newcleaners #attitudewastedmemoriesofagreatweek

Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review. I'm so glad that enjoyed the location and quality of the apartment and that you found the letting process easy. I know that it isn't always easy to plan your arrival time at a holiday location so I was pleased that the maid was courteous enough to allow you to leave your luggage while you went off to explore Salou. Hopefully we will the pleasure of welcoming you back soon.

“Great location in Salou”

Reviewed 7 Feb 2012

We really enjoyed staying in the apartment in Salou. It was clean and well-furnished. The beach was very close and as the owner told us, we could use the nearby hotel swimming pools if we bought some drinks...and they never even checked. The only slight problem was the rather loud hotel outdoor disco across the street, but they shut down around 23:00, I think. Salou is a party town after all, so that goes with the territory.

Thank you so much for your 5 star review, hopefully we will have the opportunity of welcoming you back to Salou soon.
