If you are looking for an exciting, authentic Spanish location, this very spacious apartment is definitely for you! It benefits from fantastic views and from its location in a medieval, white washed old town. With the ever-changing Mediterranean light infusing the apartment, you will have exceptional views from the large French windows in both the sitting and the dining room. The apartment is 5 minutes by car to the beach. It sleeps 6 comfortably and is equipped to the highest standard with everything you will need for a comfortable, relaxing holiday. There is also an additional cot for a small baby, if required. All three bedroom can be arranged as double or twin. There are also 2 reception rooms (so total number of rooms is 5.)

The apartment is on the top (third) floor of a small block. The property is very accessible without a car, as there are regular bus services between Salobrena and all the important towns and sights. There is on-street parking just outside the apartment.

Salobrena, often described as the jewel of the Costa Tropical, has an excellent beach, lined with palm trees and several restaurants and evening markets in the summer and a Moorish castle perched on top of the old town. It is approximately 75 minutes from Malaga and Almeria adn 55 minutes from Granada.There are infinite opportunities for excursions both by car and by bus: Granada (the Alhambra), Cordoba, Malaga (Picasso Museum), Almunecar (Water Park), many different beaches and resorts (Nerja, La Herradura, etc.), In the nearby Alpujarras there are walks of all levels of difficulty and other outdoor pursuits such as horse riding and mountain-biking. In the summer all the usual water sports (diving, beach volleyball, deep-sea angling, scuba diving) are available locally. In the winter the climate is sub-tropical, but in the Sierra Nevada, which is appr. 1 1/4 hours drive from Salobrena you will find a ski resort where all winter sports are available.It has a sub-tropical climate, and approximately 320 days of sunshine.

The local sports centre has tennis courts, badminton courts, etc. The municipal indoor swimming pool opened in 2007 and is at 5 minutes walking distance.In the summer there is an evening market on the palm-lined beach. There are many places to visit and the local tourist office, which is 5 minutes walk from the apartment has lots of information. Additionally there are maps, guideboks and folders with lots of ideas and suggestions in the apartment. Salobrenas own website is full of useful information.There is a waterpark in Almunecar, which is only a few miles away.

“Central, spacious and cozy apartement”

This is a nice apartement with lots of sun, very close to Salobrena centrum. Not to far up in the hill. Lovely view, spatious balcony, english tv & books ready and every facility needed. Sarah the caretaker is english, so no communication troubles there. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

“Light and airy with amazing views, in a central but quiet location in the old town”

Helpful and friendly owner and local caretaker, lots of advice and information about the apartment itself, the town and surroundings and all was as I'd hoped. Easy and pleasant walk to beach and its restaurants, but so much nicer to be in the old town - more character and buzz, and altogether just more Spanish.

“spacious, sunny and perfect for location”

We stayed here for 3 nights over the Easter period and found the apartment to have three big double rooms, good size kitchen, large living room and desperate dining room. The large sun terrace was fantastic with excellent views of the sea and in the other direction snow capped mountains! We found the owner to be flexible and in quick contact to deal with questions. On arriving an English speaking local was there to meet us and made our stay there very easy and straightforward. The location in salobrena is perfect, next to the coast with great views and within easy driving distance of both Malaga and Granada. The links here are very good with amenities within the town itself. I highly recommend staying here whatever size of group and age range.

We are delighted you have enjoyed your stay. Just to clarify: there are three big double BEDROOMS pluse large living room and SEPARATE (not desperate, we hope) dining room.

“Essence of Spain”

This was our first ever trip to Spain and we fell in love with Salobrena and this delightful, airy and comfortable apartment. Salobrena is an attractive and friendly small town and the location of the apartment made it relatively easy for us to walk to the beach every day. We thoroughly enjoyed wandering around the pretty winding streets of the old town and sampling the local bars and restaurants for tapas and dinner. The view from the old Moorish castle made it worth the walk to the top of the hill ! The apartment is well equipped, clean and comfortable. It has a lovely terrace with spectacular views across the rooftops of the town to the sea and mountains. We especially appreciated the well stocked bookshelf and the helpful notes for visitors, written by the owner and by previous guests. We have recommended Apartment La Luz to our friends and family. We relaxed so thoroughly on this first visit that aside from a day in the breathtaking Alhambra palace and gardens in Granada, we didn't leave Salobrena. This leaves us with many discoveries and pleasures to come when we explore the Costa Tropical on our next visit. We look forward to it!

“A lovely 'get away from it all' holiday apartment”

The apartment is set on a hill with amazing views of the mountains, town and sea from the spacious terrace. It's very peaceful, even in August, with just the sounds of the church bells and a few cars passing by occasionally. The beach is a short 15-20 minute stroll away with plenty of good quality Spanish restaurants to choose from. There's a market in the town where you can buy lovely fresh bread, fruit, veg, fish and meat and there are a couple of good supermarkets where you can buy everything else you might need. Granada is an easy 1 hour drive away up the new motorway. It's a perfect place to stay if you want to experience a true Spanish holiday without too many foreigners!
