Duplex built on the natural rock of Salobreña, and situated in a quiet cul-de-sac amongst Spanish neighbours. 10 minute walk to the beach. The property is registered in the Andalusian Tourist Registry (number VFT/GR/00159), and meets all legal requirements.

It combines comfort and vintage design with local, rustic character. 1st floor: spacious, aircon open plan fully equipped kitchen and living area, a large corner leather sofa, vintage armchair and lamps, an old farm dinning table that seats six, and a small terrace that receives direct sun light from dusk to late afternoon, perfect for alfresco meals. The original stone wall is a beautiful feature of the property, and it has a dimmer switch for cosy evenings. 2nd floor: two quiet bedrooms with comfortable beds overlook a narrow pedestrian alley, opposite them is a subway tiled bathroom with a large shower, and a guest toilet in retro style. Peaceful and spacious: This is a spacious, bright, air conditioned, well decorated and stylish property with no traffic noise. The terrace is perfect for breakfast under the morning sun, and nice and cool in the evenings. Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and face a quiet pedestrian street, ensuring a good night's sleep! Towels and bed linen are included. When booking for more than a week a 3h cleaning is included in the price rent.

Authentic: This is a house in the centre of the old town, set amongst Spanish neighbours and narrow white washed streets. It is not a beachfront apartment nor a villa with a swimming pool, but rather a special place to observe the daily goings-on of the town, explore the area, or just relax at home or at the beach. The most southern european skiing resort, Sierra Nevada, is just 1 hour away, next to the beautiful city of Granada and the Alhambra which is only a 45 minutes drive from Salobreña. The Alpujarras is a mountainous area of remote villages that is very much recommended for their breathtaking scenery and hearty gastronomy. Finally, the Costa Tropical has unspoiled coves and beaches, and a large area protected after being declared National Park.

Comfort: Whether you want to stay at home and relax, or go and explore the area, the property is ideally located. WiFi, 46´ Satellite TV (Astra), books, games, even an original school blackboard!. The Andalucia region

Salobreña is an Andalusian coastal town set within the Costa Tropical, in the province of Granada. Benefiting from year-round mild temperatures, the area know for growing tropical fruit, hence it´s name. The region is spoilt with beaches, mountain villages, gastronomy, and of course, culture, with Granada at it´s centre. Communications are very good. Both Malaga and Granada have international airports, and modern motorways mean Salobreña is less than an hour from both capitals.

Salobrena

The Old Town where is the property is situated is a picturesque part of Salobreña, with all the characteristics of an Andalusian white village. The house is the perfect spot to watch the daily ongoings of Spanish town life, to set your base to explore the area, or to just relax amongst a friendly and peaceful neighbourhood. As a residential area, the Old Town is an active, yet usually calm place, becoming livelier during the summer months and Easter, when many visitors come to town to enjoy the beauty of the sorroundings.

Getting around

Car is not essential, Salobreña is a small town and there is a bus service to/from Granada and Malaga to Salobreña. However, a car is recommended if you want to visit nearby towns and beaches and you do not like walking up the narrow streets of the Old Town, where the property is located.

Interaction with guest

Our housekeeper, who is responsible for handing out the keys and cleaning, lives locally and is available to resolve on site any issues our guests might have. I am also available by phone or email 24/7 and respond immediately.
