Further details indoors

From the private parking area, you ascend a few stairs leading to a large south facing terrace with a beautiful long, sinuous pool with decorative rock features and a rustic style Spanish covered porch that really belongs on a magazine cover. On this large terrace, there are comfortable sun loungers and plenty of space to sit pool side (either in the shade or in the sun) and take in the wonderful uninterrupted sea views. The entrance to the villa is off of this terrace, which means the pool and terrace area can be completely closed off to young children merely by closing the front door. This enables parents to relax if they have young children that aren´t good swimmers by knowing their children can´t enter the pool area without them.

Upon entering this holiday rental villa, you are faced with an enormous, beautifully decorated open plan living and dining room with views to the sea from every angle. There are 2 large french doors that lead to terraces, one of which is covered. This is a great spot for al fresco dining as it is very close to the large, state of the art kitchen that even includes a double size refrigerator. There is a herb garden and a large gas barbeque on the terrace just outside the kitchen door to assist you in creating delightful Mediterranean meals.

On the entry level, there is also a bedroom with a queen size bed and an en suite bathroom. This makes Villa Mira Mar a nice choice for 2 families vacationing together or grandparents vacationing with their children/grandchildren as adult couples can have privacy since the 2 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms are on separate floors.

Upstairs there are 3 very ample sized bedrooms, one of which can sleep up to 4 people. The master bedroom has a large and luxurious en suite bath done completely in tumbled marble. It really is fabulous. There is a large walk in shower with a bench to sit on and relax while the water massages your back. There is also a large, romantic round tub for two. Even the master bathroom has uninterrupted sea views! As for the master bedroom itself, the views are beyond description. There are 5 large windows from which to enjoy the views of the sea, the town of Salobrena and the mountains. There is a super king size bed that floats in the middle of the room allowing for maximum enjoyment of the views. There is a terrace off of the master bedroom. The other 2 bedrooms on this floor also have great views and terraces. There is a lovely guest bathroom with a combination shower/bath for the use of both upstairs bedrooms. You really need to see this villa for yourself to appreciate how special it is!

Location description from owner

The Andalucia region

The historic city of Granada with the spectacular Alhambra Palace is only 45 minutes away. The small mountain villages of the Alpujarras are well worth exploring. Other places of interest include Almunecar with its markets and Roman ruins, La Herradura with its beautiful harbour and Nerja with its underground caves. Our guests love this area because it is still Spanish and very much unspoilt. It is how the Costa del Sol used to be before it was overdeveloped. This is the right place to come to get a true taste of Spain.

Salobrena

The beautiful beaches of the Costa Tropical, restaurants and shops are only 5 minutes away affording you the best of both worlds - close proximity to everything yet truly peaceful and relaxing surroundings. Less than a 5 minute walk from the villa is the community recreational area. Our guests have free use of all of the facilities including a large communal pool, children's pool, playground, tennis, table tennis, football pitch and even a basketball hoop. This is a great place for children to socialise with other kids and to use up their excess energy!

“Wonderful, relaxing holiday!”

Reviewed 8 Jul 2013

Stayed at the Villa Mira Mar in beautiful Salobrena on my parents golden wedding anniversary. Everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday was catered for at this villa. Cumbra Villas really made us feel welcome and couldn't do enough to ensure the holiday ran smoothly. We would certainly consider coming back again to this beautiful part of Spain.

“Villa Mira Mar was a Little Castle for us”

Reviewed 18 May 2013

We found Villa Mira Mar via homeaway.com and where attracted to it bacuse of the amount of rooms, Wifi and of course the nice pool; Based on the pictures and reviews we tried to imaging how it looked like. The booking via CumbreVillas went very well, they were very quick in their reponce and very helpfull in finalizing the booking and preparing us for our arrivall; When we arrived we were amazed, Mira Mar is situated on a high spot on the mountain and there for you have great views; The pool is just great and when heated really nice, even when you some colder days; The house itself super big, clean, complete and feels home very quickly; The BBQ, Wifi and ofcourse the hottub all great too; Maybe the only thing you have to be aware of it that you need a car to go to the supermarket or just the surrounding, but when you are ok with that. JUST GO here!

“a magnificent short holiday”

Reviewed 22 Feb 2013

We stayed a week in this great house this February, and we enjoyed our stay very much. Our two families (three generations) found a well equipped, luxurious house: a warm welcome. The view from anywhere in or around our holiday home was splendid. We even liked our daily trip to the nearby village of Salobrena. Luckily for us the weather was great and we were able to make use of the pool and the hot tub. We visited Granada (Alhambra), Nerja, Motril beach and Almunecar. We arrived at and left the property after office opening hours, but there never was a problem, all was taken care of.

“Peace, Tranquility & the best ever views”

Reviewed 26 Sep 2012

We have travelled a great deal. All over the world. Recently we came to the conclusion that if you want a holiday for a 'rest' and good weather and good locations, then Europe probably has the best to offer and you don't have to travel hours on a plane. Being September, we decided that southern Spain would fit the 'weather' bill. So next, a top class villa in a raised position with views of the Mediterranean and no neighbours too close. This villa ticked every box plus some more. The situation meant that you actually had both the sunrise and the sunset. There were terraces all around and loads of suncloungers dotted around. The private pool was perfect and the hot tub was a great addition. This is a big villa on a big plot. Loads of room. And the villa - the agents were very caring and very thoughtful. Everything was there that you needed plus some more. Even a bottle of wine on arrival and some bits and bobs in the fridge. Everything very well explained. Also the booking was hassle free, good communication and no problems. Just how I like it. All we did was go out for dinner and there are some good places nearby. And excellent value. Great fish dishes. If you want calm, quiet and a great villa. We can definitely recommend this.

“stylish villa - great views”

Reviewed 9 Apr 2012

This company only has great villas. The selection and booking process is easy and straightforward. The villa Mira Mar is at the luxurious end of the market - everything spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and stylish to look at. We have been to Salobrena and stayed with this company several times and have never been disappointed. We only have a quiet break, swimming, sitting in the sun, watching the stars from the hot tub - but always feel very refreshed at the end of it. I like the fact that we can book and travel without the worry that the villa will not be what is advertised - it is always great. The views are great over Salobrena coast - Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. Villa Mira Mar is a good example of what a holiday villa should be.

“Just fantastic”

Reviewed 16 Jan 2012

We spent a week in Villa Mira Mar and enjoyed the property very much. Especially the pool and the hot tub were favourite places to be for the children. The Villa is spacious, clean and very beautiful. The views are more than fantastic. W'll come back very soon.

“Our perfect family getaway, with spectacular views and facilities”

Reviewed 3 Jan 2012

After deciding to spend Christmas abroad this year, there is always an initial worry if we've made the right choice. From the moment of booking Villa Mira Mar, Cumbre Villas couldn't have been more helpful by sending us good directions and providing us with a welcome basket full of surprises. The Villa Mira Mar perches on top of a hillside with unspoilt 180 degree views of the Sierra Nevadas and the Med, including the castle in Salobrena. The house itself is large and accommodated 8 people really well. There is ample outdoor space on three sides of the property with lots of sun loungers and seating areas to enjoy the sunshine. Further more the house is very well equipped with all kitchen essentials needed. It also had a very large gas heated bbq at the back which was very handy. We were also impressed with the visitor book put together as it has everything you need to know about the local area, including shopping and restaurants. In all we couldn't have had a better stay in Spain!

“Perfect for recharging the batteries before Christmas”

Reviewed 24 Dec 2011

We had a great week, in weather which resembled a perfect English summer. The villa was ideal for us with our grown up children and friend - 6 in all. We swam every day except one, lazed in the hot tub, ate fresh local produce from Mercadona, read books, watched DVDs and played endless silly games. The villa has lots of space, with different areas to occupy to follow the sun and fantastic views. We stayed on the other side of the development a few years ago and loved that, but Villa Mira Mar definitely had the edge in December as it gets full sun from dawn to dusk and we saw some amazing sunrises and sunsets. We returned home refreshed and relaxed, ready for the onslaught of Christmas.
