In the meantime, Christophe's work has taken him around the world. But his heart has always been attached to the Jura. Christophe knows the region like no other and has many stories to tell about topics ranging from the area's numerous well-preserved castles to the themes of Gustave Courbet's paintings and cheese making. And of course of Vin Jaune, the region's typical wine. He'll even bring up a bottle from the family's impressive wine cellar for his guests. Christophe is committed to enabling visitors to experience everything that makes the Jura region so special. By opening La Maison Salines, with the support of his equally hospitable parents, he is fulfilling a long standing dream. His father Pierre Galimard is a retired but ever-passionate chef – upon request guests can enjoy his regional specialities. And Mme Galimard's delicious home-made jams are definitely not to be missed!

Location description from owner

The Franche-Comte region
