Albany House is a fine Victorian villa overlooking Salcombe with beautiful views across the town to the estuary and countryside beyond. Flat 1 (which sleeps 4) has the most spectacular views, being at the top, Flat 2 is a lovely intimate flat for 2 and Flat 3 (which also sleeps 4) has the benefit of its own sun terrace. All three flats enjoy one of the largest private gardens in Salcombe. With off street parking, unlimited high speed broadband and gym and spa membership (adults only) thrown in, it's your perfect home away from home.

Salcombe is a delightful small town on the coast of South Devon. Rich in history, it was a major port up to the late 19th century, famous for its fast ocean-going vessels which brought back citrus fruits, sugar, salted cod and much more from the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Newfoundland. Many of the hillside villas which define Salcombe's architecture, including Albany House, were built for these wealthy sea captains in the second half of the 19th century.

Today, Salcombe is still a fishing port but its main income is now from tourism, with a thriving sailing community and a loyal clientele, many of whom come back year after year for the safe waters, beautiful sandy beaches, wonderful coastal walks and fine shops, pubs and restaurants.

Salcombe

Albany House is situated in a quiet road above the town, looking out North and East over the town and estuary to rolling Devon hills and Dartmoor in the distance. Depending on your route (and speed!), it takes five minutes to walk down the hill into the town, a little more coming back up.
