Getting around

Apart from having the benefit of a private car parking slot just outside the front door, the property is situated just meters away from two very convenient bus stops that are serviced by the main bus routes to the capital Valletta, Sliema and the Gozo ferry amongst other routes. Service is practical and inexpensive and very popular with our guests.

Interaction with guest

We leave guests with a property handbook to help them acclimatize and better understand the locality and always provide two mobile telephone numbers for easy interaction whenever necessary. We certainly don't want to bother you on your holiday but we are always a phone call away should you need us.

“Magic Maltese apartment”

Reviewed 2 Nov 2016

Just back from a delightful 12 night stay in this one bedroomed property. The views from the balcony across St.Pauls Bay to Buggiba are magnificent. We had a car for the duration, which I would recommend, as the property is nicely located away from the hussle and bussle of the busy areas, which suited us fine. There's a few eateries within walking distance but the apartment comes very well equipped and the service that we received from the owner was very good.

“Comfortable apartment for two with good view from the balcony”

Reviewed 29 Jun 2016

We arrived at the apartment by bus on Sunday 29th May having spent 3 nights on Gozo. The welcome from James and his wife was very friendly and helpful. The welcome pack was much appreciated as the shops were closed, and the selection of food and drink was fine for our meal on the balcony in the evening. The apartment is comfortably furnished and we had everything we needed. We used the aircon in the bedroom on the warmer nights and we liked the fact that it was quiet on the low fan setting. The bed is on a raised platform in the bedroom - I stubbed my toes a few times until I remembered it was there and got used to it. The TV has lots of channels but not BBC that I could find - not a big problem because it is nice to get away from TV on holiday. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a drink and surveying the view over the bay (there are mosquitoes so use some repellent). We used the pool a few times and whilst it is not big it is adequate. We used the washing machine once which is in a locked cupboard in the passageway, and there is a communal drying area outside out of view of the apartments. We used personalised tallinja (bus) cards ordered online in the UK a few weeks before; we used these for travelling everywhere on Gozo and Malta so we didn't need change on the buses, and because we may go back in the future. The thing I liked least was that there was a derelict small hotel across the the road from the apartment and few other shabby, empty buildings in the area. James advised that planning permission had been granted to rebuild on the hotel site, so it will be improved, and it didn't affect our holiday at all. Golden Bay beach is sandy and much nicer than we expected, and only 10 minutes away by bus/car (the bus goes from down the hill near the roundabout). There are several places to eat nearby - we enjoyed Porto Del Sol and Sammy's but weren't so taken with the meal we had at the Chef. Overall we had a very enjoyable time.

“Great apartment with great views”

Reviewed 8 Aug 2013

We stayed here for 5 nights at the being of July, the block of apartments was extremely quiet and we had the pool to ourselves the entire time. We were greeted by James, who is extremely helpful and friendly and he provided us with a welcome pack with milk, fruit and other Maltese favourites. There are some great restaurants two minutes walk from the apartment, Zues is a must! There is a bus stop right outside the apartment which can take you to St Paul's Bay where there are lots of restaurants and bars, Valetta and the airport. It's very cheap to get the bus, I think it was just over 5euros for a return to anywhere in Malta. The apartment has everything you need including towels and beach towels, information on Malta, hairdryer and plenty of cooking equipment. Its a very quiet part of the island which made it the perfect holiday for us, yet its easy to get to more lively part for a fun evening out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment in Malta and have already recommended it to family and friends. Thank you!!

“Great - will book again”

Reviewed 8 May 2013

Been many times on holiday to Malta and have to say that this is probably the best and certainly the most pleasant accommodations for the price that I've experienced. Well equipped with everything you'd need, a friendly shop nearby and restaurants within walking, not to mention life on the balcony with the spectacular view and of course, not forgetting the occasional and hilarious interruption from the local rooster that's crock is not quite all there! Will definitely book again and thanks for everything!
