“Lovely location and a nice place to stay”

I have written privately to Didier the owner with a few concerns which he has now resolved. He is such a charming host with a lovely duplex apartment for holiday break in a most beautiful town. The location of the apartment is in Place St Leonard right next to a beautiful church and lovely Artist workshops, cafes and boutiques, with a short walk to the old harbour, museums, promenades and fantastic restaurants with very good menus at very good rates. Watch out for the flea markets too, drive a short distance to shopping malls and an outlet village and find some wonderful food to cook in this lovely self-catering apartment which is fully equipped for all seasons. Many thanks Didier for sharing your apartment with us.

This is perfect for solo travellers, couples and families with up to two children; it's right in the centre of Honfleur in the lovely mediaeval district. The place oozes history and there's so much more to explore on your doorstep.

Perfect hide away in beautiful Honfleur. The apartment is clean, cute and only 5 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the Vieux Bassin. My daughter and I walked everywhere including restaurants, museums, tropical butterfly gardens, beach, local view point etc. A perfect 'home from home'!

We had a very relaxing stay at St Leonard's Place. The accommodation was clean and the second bathroom a bonus. We had a car but chose to walked most of the time because of the central location. The stairs are quite steep but okay once you don't rush. There is a very good Osteopath in the building on the ground floor - she really helped me with a back problem I had.

Location is perfect, 5 minute walk to the harbor and all the restaurants and shops. The apartment is perfectly clean and well maintained, the 2 bedrooms are completely private. It is perfectly set up for a family of 4. Yes, the stairs are steep but you only have to carry your luggage twice. All the amenities were working well and the WiFi reception was superb. Booking, money transfers and refunds were prompt and exact with paperwork supplied for each transaction. Sophie was there to show us around. There is a list of restaurants to visit (we loved Le Breard, could not make reservations for Sa-Qua-Na (call way in advance.) Don't forget to visit the flea market (first Sunday of the month.) We parked by the church every night (it has fairly high turnover, you will get a spot after about 5 minutes of waiting.) Book with confidence, you will enjoy your time in Honfleur and your stay at Artintime. Thank you, Didier

“Cozy Apartment with Artistic and Historic Atmosphere”

We were two retired couples spending three nights in Honfleur after our cruise ship landed us in Le Havre. We rented a car and drove here. Fair to say it was not straightforward to find this apartment when we were driving a car with somewhat inaccurate GPS. A more detailed and enlarged map would have helped. Parking was also hard the first time, because of concern for parking violation in the narrow streets. Subsequently, parking at the nearby Church's parking lot or parking at the public parking lot uphill behind the Carrefour market solved our problem. Most of the time around Honfleur, walking is preferred anyway. We did drive out to Trouville-sur-mer to visit the fish market and enjoyed oysters and shrimps in the food stands there. We also drove and visited the Normandy memorial places. The apartment is centrally located in Honfleur and there are many nice restaurants and boulangeries nearby. As we did not have a mobile phone, we could only set a definite time of 3pm to check into the apartment with Sophie, the apartment manager. Traffic and looking for the place delayed us till 3:30 pm but Sophie patiently waited for us in the apartment. She went through all the details about the apartment with us and recommended a favorite restaurant of hers. Sophie was extremely helpful. Her English is very good. We enjoyed staying in this lovely apartment and made it our home. The wifi worked well, as did the TV. We used the kitchen to boil water and some food. We enjoyed having salad and the bread and baguette available in the area. We brought back some shrimps, mussels and bulots from Trouville-sur-mer and had a wonderful feast one night. It is true that bringing up heavy luggages to the third floor level can be hard work. Doing it with two persons, one above and one below, made it easier. But, we needed to exercise anyway on vacation. Taking them downstairs was a lot easier, again with two persons. We appreciated the good taste of the owners in the decoration and the paintings hanging on the walls. The black, grey and white color scheme is also one that we personally prefer. This is why we felt right at home in this lovely and quaint apartment. The attic, where we slept, was also quite tastefully decorated. I did have to watch my head going into the bathroom there, else a light bump would wake me up in the morning. Overall, we enjoyed very much our stay here and would recommend it to our friends and others.

My wife, son and I stayed at Artintime and had a wonderful time! Didier and Sophie were both wonderful to work with and very helpful. The apartment is well appointed and my son enjoyed the loft bedroom. The apartment is on a quiet street just a short walk to the bayside cafes. Just dowwnstairs is an excellent butcher and the bakery and other shops are just a short pleasant walk down the street. The kitchen at Artintime is well equipped and we took advantage to prepare some of our own meals. Great to have the wifi, television, dishwasher and washer and dyer. They all came in handy. I would recommend this apartment and town to anyone who truly wants to get away and relax. Joe Zahner

“Everything you need and so central; highly recommended”

We stayed at Artintime for a few days for my partner's birthday. From the start, communication with Didier was excellent. On arrival, we were very happy to find that the apartment was exactly as we expected (so often the photos fail to match the reality). We were very lucky and got a parking space outside the church and did not move the car for the next 3 days! The apartment is a couple of minutes walk from the centre of the action, on a quiet street. The location could not have been better. The apartment itself was well equipped and tastefully decorated, having 2 bathrooms (one with a shower and one with a bath) was a huge bonus and made the apartment feel much bigger than it actually is. There was only 2 of us, but you could easily stay with friends and have your own privacy. All in all, I would suggest anyone looking to take a holiday in Honfleur should check out this apartment, and if it's available, book it!

How do damage deposits work?
