Description

La Mouleyre is a stunning Chateau set in 3 acres of beautiful grounds surrounded by some of the world famous vineyards and Chateaux of St Emilion. Positioned at the head of a lovely small valley it has exquisite views over the tranquil landscape of the surrounding vineyards to the hills of the Dordogne River.

This charming retreat is in the heart of wine country, just 7km from the UNESCO World Heritage medieval village of St Emilion. It is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy and from which to explore the many pretty villages and historic towns of the area and experience wine tastings at the most iconic chateaux.

Built in 1602, it was part of the Chateau La Mouleyre ( St Emilion Grand Cru ) until the vines were sold to the neighbouring Chateau Faugeres and the house, barn, chais (wine aging cellar) and grounds were purchased in 2008.

Renovated sympathetically so it retains all the original charm into a beautiful country retreat, its 17th century origins are evident
