“Superbe, Magnifique”

Reviewed 9 Oct 2016

We have just completed our 2 week stay in Petit Portail. This is our 2nd time here, last visit was 6 years ago. We have stayed in other towns in Provence before but Sablet is definitely our favourite As during our last visit, Linda and Paul ensured everything we needed was available. They are great hosts There are so many places to visit, close to Sablet, whether it is villages, towns or cities and don't forget all the Marches/markets Thanks again Linda and Paul Dolores and Ross, Serendipity B&B Inn, PEI, Canada

“Love at first night!”

We are seasoned travelers and have stayed at gites and cottages many times. We have made friends at all of those places, but Petit Portal, and Sablet in general, won our hearts instantly. Paul and Linda are the perfect hosts, always available, generous and very inclusive of their guests. We were drawn into the village as if we had lived there for years. The house is perfectly located and ever so comfortable. We looked due West to perfect sunsets from our front door and across to the pretty village of Seguret from our bedroom and living room. The gite is perfectly outfitted, and if you should happen to find something you need that is not there, Paul and Linda can provide it in a flash. The added bonus is that Sablet is a full working village with boulangers (two), a super butcher and a well stocked green grocer - and do I have to mention the wine! You will never be sorry you went, just please don't do it when we want to be there...we have never had a better time.

“Perfect spot to be in Provence”

Reviewed 9 Jun 2012

We can not recommend this lovely house in the picturesque village of Sablet anymore highly, it is in a perfect location to visit all that Provence has to offer, central location ,yet just the right size village with parking outside the house, shops for supplies 2 minutes up the road. Lovely restaurants if you don't want to cook, views of other hilltop villages from every window, very well equipped if you do cook up some of the yummy food from all the fabulous markets,The house has great free wifi, tv,washing machine, comfy bed, good sized bathroom etc.Linda and Paul are perfect hosts with great local knowledge of sights, tips etc, very welcoming,we hope to one day return as a week was only a taste, the week we spent in Sablet and surrounds has been a definite highlight of our holiday,we will return !

“Everything we wanted and more . . .”

Stayed at Petit Portail for 5 nights over Easter and were really pleased. By far the best equipped apartment we've stayed in and we felt very much at home. Located in a nice quiet village with stunning views from the windows. Perfect for getting away from it all and relaxing. Very good value for money and lovely, helpful owners too. Hope to be back and would most definitely recommend to others.

“Perfect Petit Portail”

Reviewed 27 Oct 2011

Le Petit Portail is a great place to stay for a visit to the Dentelles and Côtes du Rhône area. Beautiful views from all windows, wifi, a huge shower-room, comfortable bed and friendly, attentive owners. The countryside is on your doorstep - just walk out of the door into the vines. Great towns such as Carpentras, Vaison la Romaine, Orange, even Avignon, are just a short drive. Every day is market day somewhere close by but actually Sablet has pretty much everything you need.

“Perfection”

We stayed at Petit Portail for a week last year and enjoyed every minute in the cottage/apartment. It was a second honeymoon for us in this cosy spot. We could not have asked for more - everything was provided. The neighbouring shops and restaurants were great. The local area offered so many opportunities. We are pleased to highly recommend this property. Thankyou Linda for allowing us to stay at this ideal Hill-Top Provence accommodation.
