Description

The villa was built in the early 1800's for the then Duke of Buckingham and Chandos. In 1811, George Nugent-Temple Grenville, the first Marquis of Buckingham, took a long lease on the house as a holiday home, naming it Buckingham Cottage. He sold the property in 1844, when Buckingham Cottage and Fountain Cottage (now the Coach House) sold at auction for £3,600! Nowadays, the main house is known as Buckingham Villa and is divided into four apartments. 5 Buckingham Villa, also known as The Cottage, is believed to have been the servants quarters for the big house.

The property is situated in a tucked away area of Ryde, just moments away from lovely sandy beaches. The accommodation is arranged over two floors comprising two bedrooms, a characterful lounge with beamed ceiling and balcony overlooking your private gardens, dining/breakfast room, kitchen, utility room, bathroom and shower room.
