Description

The flat is in an ideal location for exploring Edinburgh, being right in the heart of the Old Town on the famous Royal Mile. Its a traditional apartment but has been completely re-furbished in summer 2015. Beautifully decorated and well furnished. The bedrooms have top hotel quality beds that can be configured as super king size or 2 singles. There's also a single bed contained underneath and an airbed so each bedroom can be set up with 4 singles. IN the lounge there is a sofa bed and a folding bed, so the fact can sleep 11 comfortably, although some all girl parties have slept 3 in the super king beds and so squeeze 13 in the flat. But bear in mind this is a real stretch, would only suit young groups and there is only one bathroom. The kitchen is brand new and has all the equipment you could need. I chose not to have a dining table permanently in the lounge but a folding dining table and chairs are provided along with all table furniture so it can look wonderful for a celebration

I also provide an honesty bar which is well stocked with popular alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks - payment, as the name suggests, on an honesty basis in the piggy bank! (this is only to cover the cost, I make no profit from this). There is an HD Smart TV with a wide range of channels as well as catch up TV Apps and Netflix. There is a top quality BOSE SoundTouch system which allows a variety of ways to play your favourite music, including connecting you bluetooth enabled device. There are also some entertaining family games provided as well as a good selection of books.

In terms of location the flat really couldn't be better placed. The Royal Mile is literally on your doorstep - however its nearer the quiet end of the Royal Mile so while the attractions are only moments away, its not as busy as you might expect. There are so many visitor attractions, restaurants, bars, cafes, shops you could spend a week here and not need to venture much more than 10 minutes from the front door. However of course you will but since Edinburgh is such compact city then nothing is really more than a 20 minute stroll. Should you wish to travel further, for example to the Leith Shore area or the botanic gardens then its very easy access for buses and taxis. This is quite simply the perfect base for your Edinburgh stay. Please bear in mind that the flat is on the top (4th) floor of a traditional (160 year old) Edinburgh tenement block, so there is no lift - think of the steps as your complimentary residents gym!

“Amazing flat, amazing weekend!”

Just returned from a fantastic “girlie” weekend staying in your lovely apartment. The location is superb, right on the Royal Mile, just moments away from all the biz. We were a group of 7 and found the apartment superbly equipped, including 3 hairdryers! The apartment is clean, decorated beautifully and feels cozy with lots of little touches from board games to a welcoming bottle of bubbly!! The recommendation of Mrs McIntyres coffee shop was most welcome for morning sustenance . You remained responsive to our queries and certainly an address and host we hope to return to! We were all sorry to leave. Thank you Fraser for your hospitality.

“Perfect base for an Edinburgh stay”

Great accommodation to bring friends together in - the spacious lounge is a great space to unwind in after a night out (complete with honesty bar!). Fridge and cupboards stocked by owner for breakfast including a very welcome coffee machine. The central location 5 minutes walk from Waverley station and very central location was perfect.
