Description from owner

Description

New for September 2016. Gwynant Bach is situated in the centre of the Snowdonia National Park in the beautiful and sought after village of Rowen.

The house is an attractive welsh cottage style home offering modern amenities and comfort. Its two bed rooms sleeps 4 people but there is room for a cot should you wish to bring one.

The accommodation compromises of a lounge/dining room which has a flat screen TV with Freeview , DVD , CD player, and Wi-Fi, a well equipped kitchen, a shower wet room and toilet, a twin bedded room with two single beds and a master bedroom with en-suite toilet and sink.

The accommodation also has under floor heating which make the cottage snug and warm in the winter months. Outside has a patio area and seating which is ideal for BBQS.

There is loading and unloading parking available next to the house as well as off-street parking on the road opposite.

Gwynant Bach is situated in the Snowdonia National park making it easily accessible to numerous leisure activities.

The award winning Ty Gwyn pub is only a minutes’ walk away offering good food everyday and traditional Welsh singing on a Friday night. The Conwy Water Gardens and Pancake House is also in the village and ideal for a spot of coarse fishing, animal petting or food at the resturant.

The property is the perfect location for a weekend break or family holiday for up to 4 guests and is near to the historic town of Conwy with its Castle, the Smallest House in Britain, Town Walls, Suspension Bridge, Plas Mawr and Aberconwy House as well as its beaches, Marina and Quay. Surf Snowdonia, RSPB nature reserve, Welsh Mountain Zoo Bodnant Gardens and Farm Shop all are a 10 minute drive away.

For those wishing to stretch their legs there is a multitude of walks & hikes throughout the area of Snowdonia. The smallest peak Tal-Y Fan is considered the start of the 14 peaks and with Rowen being nestled in the shadow of the mountain it is a good base to start your ascent. More sedentary walks are available in the village and throughout the Conwy Valley. Those seeking an adrenaline rush look no further than Tree Top adventures (Zip World Fforest), Bounce Below, Velocity Quarry Tour & Zip World, all within 40 mins or less.

Llandudno is also a 15 minute drive and boasts a shopping centre, promenade, pier and the Great Orme with its tram rides and copper mines.

It is centrally located in the North of Wales and well placed to visit other historic towns and castles such as Caernarfon, Betws-Y-Coed and the island of Anglesey.

The two bed roomed property sleeps 4 people but there is room for a cot should you wish to bring one.

“Christmas in Rowen”

Reviewed 30 Dec 2017

The cottage is lovely and cosy. The underfloor heating keeps the cottage really warm. The bathroom is a wet room good for anyone with disabilities as well as the rest of the house as all on one level. A small shelf for when you are in the shower would be beneficial as nowhere to put your shampoo, etc when taking a shower. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you should need. A full size fridge freezer, washing machine, etc. The cottage is ideally placed in the village a couple of doors away from a tea room and the local pub. The food is good there and they had a Christmas quiz on when we were there. Conway is a short drive away, and has retained its charm with a lot of independent shops. Llandudno is the largest town with plenty of things to do and see. Llanberis and the museum of the local mine is worth a visit. Free to enter and shows the life and times of a miner and the hardships they faced. And anyone who has been out walking there a visit to Pete's cafe is a must. It's good value with large portions for anyone with a hearty appetite. I would definitely recommend this cottage and Helen the owner is lovely , very friendly and really helpful.
