“Just what we needed”

Reviewed 3 Jun 2013

We rented this cottage for four days while filming in North Wales, and it was exactly what we needed. Plenty of space, good facilities, very comfy beds and an ideal location in the Welsh countryside. The area is peaceful and relaxing, meaning that we could get a lot of work done, and the local amenities were more than satisfactory. Thoroughly recommended!

“Great cottage in a lovely location!”

Lovely large cottage in a great location. The kitchen was well equiped as was the rest of the cottage. Our son (4) loved playing with the table tennis, table football and other toys. The bbq was a lovely touch. We had a lovely time thank you.

“Quite the most spacious and comfortable cottage we've stayed in”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2012

We originally booked to stay in the smaller adjoining cottage but the previous week's tenant had asked to stay another week so we were upgraded at no additional cost to this one. It was simply superb. Every room is large (most of them larger than we enjoy at home!), comfortably furnished and well equipped, including a modern, large flatscreen TV. Being June, we didn't use the night storage heaters, but being June 2012 it was unusually cold and wet so we did avail ourselves of the free logs for a lovely log fire on a couple of evenings. Location is excellent, 3 miles from Conway and only 10 from Betws y Coed, where the bar adjoining the Royal Oak serves superb meals, both in quantity and in quality, at very reasonable prices - far better, I have to say, than anything we find down here in Hampshire! Attractions such as Llanberis for Snowdon or Carnaervon were within comfortable reach via some very scenic routes. The little quadrangle of cottages is idyllicly quiet and peaceful and we could not fault it in any way. A memorable week all round, thank you. We went directly from there to a week's camping in the Yorkshire Dales and though this was also enjoyable, we did miss the comforts somewhat!!

“Lovely short break in North Wales”

Reviewed 4 Apr 2012

We enjoyed our few days at this comfortable cottage which is one of six, positioned around a large cobbled courtyard. It's in a great location, as it is in the countryside and yet only three miles from the medieval town of Conwy with its castle and shops. It's easy to drive to Snowdonia with its impressive mountain scenery. To top it all, the weather was good!

“Great place in a great location”

Reviewed 11 Mar 2012

We have stayed at Maes Masarn for the last 2 years and are scheduled for a 3rd visit in late September/early October this year which is a recommendation in itself. We can thoroughly recommend this cottage and the general area. The cottage itself is spacious and has everything that you could want and its location is perfect, set in glorious surroundings with great views. It would be difficult indeed not to appreciate this and its wonderful location.
