Location description from owner

The Scotland region

Central Scotland is a beautiful area steeped in history and scene of many famous battles. The castles of Stirling and Edinburgh are an exciting & interesting day trip, with the ancient cities themselves offering lots to do and see.

Rowardennan

These are almost too numerous to mention! Loch Lomond is one of the most dramatic & scenic locations in Scotland. There are lots of quaint villages nearby like Balmaha and Drymen with visitor centres and excellent pubs & restaurants. Slightly further afield is amazing visitors complex in Balloch with excellent shops, restaurants and kids activities. From there, the 5 Star Cameron House is just a short drive, as is Duck Bay Marina. From Rowardennan Pier itself, a ferry operates in season with trips to the other side of the Loch. Ben Lomond towers above the lodge and is a must for hill climbers. The famous West Highland Way also skirts past Rowardennan.

“Excellent”

Reviewed 25 Feb 2014

Me, my husband and 8 year old daughter stayed here for 3 nights, which was not long enough. Have not done this sort of break before but can honestly say we were not disappointed. The lodge was immaculate, well maintained to a high standard, like home from home. The location is superb and there is a lovely hotel situated 100 yards, which is very welcoming. The lady who owns the lodge coudnt be nicer or more helpful if you have any queries. We are actually hoping to go back in August. Would highly recommend this lodge as we had no complaints whatsoever.

We had a fantastic 3 night break, the accommodation was superb. The Lodge was spotless and had all the home comforts on hand. We all commented on its great location for walking, relaxing, fishing, sailing etc The Hotel is only 100 yards away and offered great food and hospitality. The owners were very helpful and we would all go back without any hesitation. Greatt break - thank you
