Privately owned and managed, Sandwood Lodge is a cosy self catering log cabin and is situated at Rowardennan on Loch Lomond in Scotland. It is situated just 50 meters from the waters edge on a quiet, private estate.

Think about clear starry nights away from city traffic, lights and noise against walks wrapped up against fesh and crisp bright winter days. Or in spring and summer take trips away and explore Rob Roy country, The Trossachs or the mountains of Argyll and the north to Oban and perhaps a quick hop on the ferry to the Isle of Mull.

Loch Lomond, which is 23 miles long and 4 miles at its widest point, is certainly one of the worlds, and Scotlands, most stunning and internationally renowned locations.

Sorry - I dont offer 1 night stays. It is 2-3 nights at weekends (and priced for 3) and 7 nights in the main holiday seasons.

Out of main holiday periods I can offer discounts for 2 person occupancy. Please enquire.

NOTE: Internet access available but is not unlimited land based and is intended for email, web browing and social media but not streaming. 4GB per week and 2GB per short break is provided free and therafter is charged.

NOTE: Holiday Lettings add up to fourteen and a half percent Booking Fee to your booking. I reduce this cost to you and pay up to sixty percent of this booking fee for you. I also pay a three percent transaction fee

Why can't I call Alasdair (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Alasdair (the owner) a message.

If Alasdair (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
