The 2700 m2 outdoor area is difficult to describe....a vineyard, olive trees and amazing flowers will certainly spoil all guests. Did I mention the small wooden green house in which all guests have access once a week to taste locally produced wine straight from the barrels and prepare a meal cooked on the BBQ/Grill provided ? With its privileged location, perched on a leafy hillside this beautiful house will undoubtedly appeal to everyone seeking amazing views, privacy, relaxation and luxury, not to mention the convenience of being a short drive from Rethymno city center - 7 km away - and the nearest sandy beach which is only 6 km away.

Interior

The 350 m2 three level villa is actually two separate houses, offering some privacy within a large group of guests, since they have separate entrances, swimming pool and barbeque areas. On the lower level is the small property - 100 m2 - which consists of 2 bedrooms - 2 double beds - both with en suite bathrooms, living room, dining area and kitchen with direct access to the swimming pool. Outdoor there is a shaded comfortable relaxing area with high quality of furniture!

The second property - 250 m2 - consists of 2 bedrooms on the ground floor, an open-plan with 2 living rooms, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen and a fireplace. On the second floor there are 2 more bedrooms. All 4 bedrooms have double beds, en suite bathrooms and access to a private balcony or patio with view!

As a woman I cannot disregard the attention that has been shown to the decoration : carpets, furniture and paintings are just masterpieces that carry a brand name whilst the lightening indoor and outdoor will turn your night to an absolute romantic and relaxing moment!

The Hidden Pearl Villa is ideal to organize an event i.e. a wedding reception, or a party to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries etc. We are here to assist you in any of that too!

Location description from owner

The Rethymnon Prefecture region

The village of Roussospiti is situated 300m above sea level above the town of Rethymnon.Today there are about 700 people in our village. Half of them are Real Roussospitiani and the remainder are foreigners or Greeks from other parts of the island /country. The traditional and with great historical value village is located on the slope of Vrisinas mountain and at a distance of 6 km from Rethymnon city. In the settlement with the magnificent view to the Cretan sea there are many Venetian houses, a 17th-century fountain and Entrance of the Temple of the Virgin Mary, where there are several murals.
The village, created years of Venetian rule. The Venetian presence is still strongly. Doorframes and facedes that show the Fortress's character and an impressive dome "passage" (sottoportico) as well as impressive chimneys in style of Sebastian Serlio.

There are two churches in the village, the old Isodou Theotokou and the Agia Paraskevi, where every Sunday a Greek-orthodox mass is celebrated. Agia (Saint) Paraskevi is the patron saint of the village, and on July 26, her name day, there is a big village celebration.

In Roussospiti there is a kindergarden and a primary school for the local children. There is also a Minimarket, a kafenion, a kiosk and two tavernas for the benefit of locals and visitors alike.

Rethymno

The Monuments Of Rethymno

The "Fortezza" Fortress was built after 1573 to protect the city's population. It comprises four bastions and three entrances while to the north, its design is typical for the period with three look-out posts (salients). The most significant of the surviving buildings is the Ibrahim ?an Mosque, originally built by the Venetians as a cathedral.

The Venetian Harbour: Since 1300, Rethymno's harbour has constantly been changed and rebuilt to make it safer and hold more boats. Due to the prevailing currents along the coast, this was never entirely successful. It has retained its picturesque character up to today.

The Loggia: It is the most characteristic Renaissance monument of Rethymno and the most important architectural reminder of the Venetian occupation.

The Rimondi Fountain: Rebuilt in 1626 on the foundations of an earlier one, the new fountain is architecturally and sculpturally ornate.

The Saint Franciscus Church: It was the church of a Franciscan monastery. It sports a single-aisled, wooden roofed basilica with an impressively decorated entrance door.

The Neratzes Mosque, the Kara Mousa Mosque, the Great Door Mosque, the Veli Pasa Mosque: The surviving mosques are a reminder of the years of the Turkish occupation. Of these, the first is the only one that can be visited and houses today a music conservatory.

The Prefecture Building (Nomarchia): A Neoclassicistic monument built in 1845.

The Old Town: The old town of Rethymno is well preserved with public and private monuments of the Venetian, Turkish and later periods. The little alleys embraced by the streets Melissinou, Ethnikis Antistaseos, Dimakapoulou and the Iroon Polytechniou Square, the visitor can read the history of the old Rethymno, discovering at the same time a small town with Medieval and Renaissance character, which has kept typical features of all following periods.
