**As seen on BBC this is the cottage that Monty Hall stayed in during his 6 month stay in Connermara in 2010 whilst filming the BBC documentary Monty Halls' Great Irish Escape. The following is an excerpt from the book "The six months in the tiny cottage in Inishnee Island really was the most happy, fullfilled period of my life, the cottage was a true haven, offering tranquility amid the madness of the relentless patrols.**

Roundstone

This magnificently situated cottage - just over an hour from Galway and 4 miles from Roundstone village - overlooks the beautiful Bertraghboy Bay in Connemara. Surrounded by stunning countryside and with far reaching views across to the Twelve Pins mountain range, this is a haven for nature lovers and those seeking a get away from it all holiday. This is a perfect location for those interested in walking, sightseeing and birdwatching. Golf, pony trekking and sea angling are also available locally. Immaculate sandy beaches also make this property the ideal choice for families.
This two bedroomed cottage features beautiful Connemara marble floors, an open fire and a traditional cottage garden. The location is off the beaten track down winding country lanes edged with stone walls and native hedges. The Connemara National Park (located just outside Clifden town which is approx 12 miles from Roundstone village) is a superb wilderness of mountains, lakes and rugged coastal bays. In contrast, the university city of Galway is a thriving, cosmopolitan place full of cultural, shopping and fine dining opportunities. Visitors should not miss the opportunity to sample a pint of Ireland's finest Guinness in one of the many pubs to be found in the city. The region is also renowned for its many small fishing villages and craft centres which will give the visitor a sample of the real Ireland!
