Description

Affordable luxury at Kawaha Point. Lovely, generously appointed two level, 4 bedroom home in a stunning setting - the perfect lake edge family holiday location.

The house sleeps up to 12 comfortably so is ideal for two or three families wanting to share a holiday experience and costs. It is also ideal for family reunions, team building weekends, responsible sports groups and business get-togethers. No large, noisy gatherings exceeding 15 people. Please keep noise down after 10 pm in consideration of neighbours.

The property features an open plan design with two lounges and access to three separate deck areas. The large deck adjacent to the new kitchen (installed October 2014) has magnificent views over Lake Rotorua and Rotorua City. The rear deck includes a mains gas BBQ area and spa pool. The garage has gym equipment. The Home Theatre lounge has 65" TV and over 1000 DVD movies. There is a separate conversation lounge or kids lounge with TV and DVD player (with dozens of kids DVDs).

The property is private and secluded with beautiful gardens, yet only 3 kms from the central city. It is a short walk to the local dairy and bus stop, about 1000 metres to the gondolas and Skyline Skyrides and approx. 5kms to Whakarewarewa/Te Puia (geothermal attraction).

The property has under floor gas central heating and two cosy log fires with wood supplied during winter. All linen, towels and cooking essentials are provided. The house can be fully serviced weekly by arrangement.

The house has two car garaging, if needed, and plenty of secure, off road parking. Boat ramps are close by and there is room to park the jet ski or a small boat. A dinghy and kayaks are provided for the use of guests. Wireless ultra speed broadband internet is also provided free of charge for guests.

Self contained apartment above garage with internal access has king bed in bedsit/lounge/kitchenette area, separate single bedroom, separate shower and toilet, and is available for an additional NZ$150 per night.

Getting around

You will require a vehicle to get around the city and its environs. The house is on a bus route but it is a little far to walk to town.

Interaction with guest

I like to meet guests on arrival and make sure they are settled and comfortable. Then I leave them to enjoy the property. I live 25 minutes away at Lake Tarawera but I am easily contactable and available if needed for assistance.
