Riverside Lodge Garden Apartment is located in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, known for magnificent mountains, lochs and the ancient Caledonian Forest. Aviemore itself is the outdoor capital of the Highlands, and boasts almost every conceivable outdoor activity available on your doorstep.

Riverside Lodge is a modern Scandinavian style, purpose built house with separate Garden Apartment, ideal for your self catering holiday. The interior has lots of light wood, giving an airy feeling. Quality is apparent throughout the apartment, in the large open plan living/dining area and the fully fitted open plan kitchen. There are 3 bedrooms - beautifully furnished in modern style, comprising 1 double, 1 twin and 1 double with sitting area, all with full en suite facilities.

Riverside Lodge has a new and fully automatic wood pellet heating system, with it's own controls in the garden apartment. This ensures lots of piping hot water for showers and long baths, plus a warm and comfortable stay.It also help reduce our Carbon Footprint.The garden includes dedicated parking, lawn and deck areas with barbeque. Perfect for outside dining in the warm summer evenings. An adjacent external store provides a washer/dryer and drying cupboard, plus secure storage for skis or bikes.

Riverside Lodge has recently added a Sauna & Steam Room for the exclusive use of guests staying in the Garden Apartment, for which a small additional charge is made.

The main lounge is bright and spacious, with high ceilings, and includes flat screen TV and CD/radio.The dining area, with oak table and six high back leather chairs, is located beside the open plan kitchen, and under a feature balcony made from refurbished pitch pine. The newly fitted kitchen includes all amenities, with features including a solid oak floor and solid worktops.All bedrooms are complimented by tasteful decor, fresh bright fabrics and padded headboards for extra comfort. Curtains and blinds keep out the early morning summer light and all rooms have central heating which guests may control. All en-suite bathrooms have mains pressure showers and we have included a bath in the large double room, for long relaxing soaks.

Very Good

“Absolutely FANTASTIC”

This is a great house with absolutely everything you could possibly need for your holiday. You could throw a stone and you would hit the Nethy Bridge Hotel it's that close. The accommodation is warm and inviting with plenty of space in the living room for family fun. We really had a great time and the host was exceptionally easy to get hold of if you need anything. We will most DEFINITELY be back :)

Stayed here over Feb mid term break and had the most wonderful time. The accommodation is so comfortable, spotlessly clean and in a brilliant location. Great facilities in lodge; quality showers, beds are very comfortable and temperature inside is very cosy-no need for a onesie! Cannot recommend highly enough. Owners are next door and pop in to say hello, very warm welcome given. Really loved this place and would not hesitate to return. Aviemore and surrounding area has so much to offer and this accommodation is just perfect.

Excellent place to stay the location is superb easy to get anywhere, the lodge had everything you could wish it to have we didn't use the sauna but it looked really good as well. The red squirrels were there and we even saw a pine martin on our last morning it was unbelievable.

We have been coming up to Coylumbridge every two years for about the last 30 years as we have a time share there. Over this time the family has grown and this year we needed more space - hence booking Riverside Lodge. It looked very inviting on the web site and we were not disappointed. It was excellent. Rooms and en-suites were well appointed, lounge area was very comfortable and well thought out. My daughter was a little concerned that the owners controlled the central heating as she has a two year old and the weather was very cold but she need not have worried as the lodge was lovely and warm throughout our stay. Owners were very helpful, even to the extent of lending us a pie dish when my son decided to demonstrate his culinary skills one night. Cannot fault it. We will definitely book again on our next visit which will be in two years time and my sister in law is already considering it for next year when it is her turn. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed for 4 nights and had a fantastic stay. We were delighted that the owners were happy for us to bring along our puppy too, so our holiday was made Up mainly of walking and cycling. There are lots of beautiful walks to go on and the cycle routes were of fantastic quality!!!! The lodge itself was beaufully presented and had everything you could possibly need :-)
