Description

Bogany Cottage is situated on the beautiful on the island of Bute is a recently constructed 2 bedroom cottage built in a traditional style which sleeps 4. The sea is just two minutes walk and the centre of Rothesay is within easy walking distance. There are stunning sea views from the cottage towards Port Bannatyne and the Kyles of Bute. The cottage stands in its own grounds, there is ample private parking and a large enclosed garden, There is garden furniture together with Kettle style bbq for guests sole use. The property is approximately 4 years old and was built to a very high standard and offers the holidaymaker exceptional accommodation which is cosy and yet light and airy. The sitting room & kitchen are combined & very spacious with a vaulted ceiling and divided by a central log burner (logs supplied for the first 2 nights.) The sitting area is beautifully furnished with ample, comfortable seating, TV, DVD player, ipod docking station & WIFI. The kitchen area is equipped to a very high standard and incorporates fully integrated appliances which are all new. There are two double bedrooms, one with a king size bed looking out to sea and the second with twin beds overlooking the garden. Both are equipped with luxury bed linen and towels. The bathroom is complete with shower over the bath. The cottage has under floor heating with independent thermostats in each room. The property affords easy access for disabled guests with a ramp to the front door, wide internal doors and wooden flooring in the entrance hall, sitting room & kitchen.We offer, free of charge, a weekly cleaning service for guests staying for 1 week or more. We are happy to accept well behaved dogs (max 2) for a small extra charge, please contact us to arrange this facility. Bute offers many attractions with beautiful beaches, wildlife, fishing, walking and golf on the three golf courses. It is easily accessible from Glasgow via a 35 minute ferry crossing from Wemyss Bay to Rothesay.

Getting around

Although having a car is beneficial, there is an excellent bus service throughout the island. The cottage is within easy walking distance of the port and central Rothesay for restaurants, supermarkets etc.

Interaction with guest

I will be on hand to welcome guests to the cottage on arrival. At which point any questions visitors may have can be answered. Also during a stay I will be available, if necessary, to assist as I live on the island.

We had a great stay in Bogany cottage. Its an excellent property for a few days in Rothesay/Bute. No issues.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bogany Cottage, the cottage is lovely and the location was perfect, only 15 mins walk into town and great view of the sea. We explored lovely Bute and really enjoyed our stay, many thanks. The enclosed garden is great and I would recommend the cottage.

What more can I say that hasn't already been said in the reviews. We had a wonderful few days on The Isle of Bute visiting the sites and doing some walking. The cottage which is situated about 15 to 20 mins walk from Rothesay is nicely kept and clean throughout. The views from the front of the cottage are breathtaking and the surrounding area very quiet.

Beautiful Cottage, very well equipped. So cosy and comfortable. Nicely situated-just off the main road so very tranquil, but still with lovely views. The garden area is lovely and securely fenced. Very comfortable beds - and the underfloor heating kept the cottage at a lovely temperature. We'll certainly be back!

Beautiful homely cottage with lovely gardens and fantastic back garden. Location is excellent for walking into Rothesay town or a nice walk along the seafront. Our two grandsons came and stayed one night and had a wonderful time. No electronic gadgets were to be seen.
