Lakeside House in Rossaveal is a stylishly newly decorated 5 bedroom dormer house providing spacious, comfortable accommodation, lovely lake views, a large mature garden - everything to make a family feel at home.
4 Double Bedrooms & 1 Single Bedroom - (2 double bedrooms downstairs / 2 doubles & 1 single bedroom upstairs) - 1 Family Bathroom & 1 Ensuite Shower room
The reception room is warm and cosy, there is a stone fire place with a solid fuel stove which creates a warm space with comfy sofa's.
The open plan kitchen/dining area provides all mod cons ie (microwave, dishwasher, hob, electric oven, fridge and freezer) There are 2 large windows, one of which is overlooking the garden. Off the kitchen is a utility area with washing machine and dryer combined.From here is a door leading to the back garden.
There are two large bright double bedrooms downstairs with wardrobes. The family bathroom is ideally situated between both rooms with bath and separate shower unit.
There is a very spacious master bedroom with a double and single bed, there is also a travel cot (if required).The room is bright and airy with dormer windows to the front and a velux window to the back of the house.There is an ensuite shower room.
The fourth double bedroom has ample storage space and dressing table, with a velux window to the back of the house.The fifth bedroom is a single room with a dormer window overlooking the front.
The house could not be more equipped for families – it is like home from home....
Travel cot, buggy, car seats, bed guard, stair gate at the top of the landing.
There is a brilliant games room to the side of the house – ideal for those rainy days ! The owners have catered for all ages from building blocks, to small snooker table, ping pong table, boxing gloves & bag, Action man tent/tunnel to buckets and spades and footballs to use in the huge garden.
The house is fully enclosed by either hedges or fenced.There is a small garden area to the front of the house.The back of the house has a huge mature garden overlooking a lake.Fantastic place for kids to enjoy a game of football or to enjoy all the fun toys supplied in the games room.Great for parents to relax and let the kids play safely, there is ample garden furniture and a BBQ to enjoy your evening meals and a well deserved glass of wine !!!.

The Western Ireland region
This is a perfect base for exploring, touring and enjoying the magnificent sights, tours and entertainment Connemara has to offer.
Rossaveal is a small fishing village situated in the scenic surrounds of Connemara, 300 yards (5 mins walk) from the house is Rossaveal Pier, from here Ferry's leave for the Aran Islands daily - there are 3 Islands, Inis Mór Island (Big Island), Inis Meáin Island (Middle island) and Inis Oírr Island (East island) situated in a north westerly, south easterly direction at the mouth of Galway Bay. This is a must visit!! Well worth exploring the Iron Age forts, see the traditional Aran hand knitted sweaters, and watch craftsmen build currachs the traditional fishing boats used by the islanders. They are famous for their geological formation, historical monuments and their linguistic and cultural heritage. The Irish (Gaelic) language is still spoken here. You can either take a ferry or travel by air from Rossaveal. (www.aranislandferries.com or www.aerarannislands.ie)
Galway city being only 35km away and served by local buses, route 24, it is easily reached for excellent for shopping, restaurants, walk along the cobble streets - full of culture & history.
Carraroe (R343) 8KM - This is a lovely town - worth a visit.
Spiddal 12KM - this is a picturesque village with lovely restaurants and bars. There is an interesting 'Craft Village' opposite the sandy beach with lots of small shops to browse.
Westport 60km - a large town in Mayo which is host to many shops, hotels and pubs. Westport House is one of Westport's main attraction, fantastic day out for the kids.
The south Connemara coast and its many islands has the stunning backdrop of Knockmorden, the Maumturks, and The Bens – the Twelve Pins of Connemara, are a wonderful place to spend exploring. great hill and mountain walking. Amongst the granite landscape of Cashla Bay, Greatman's Bay, Kilkieran Bay and Bertraghboy Bay the coast is studded with rocks and islands, and the intricate passages among them make for fascinating day-sailing. Seven causeways or bridges link islands to each other and to the mainland.
