Location description from owner

The Shropshire region

A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

Rosehill

Market Drayton is a small historic market town which stands on the River Tern in north Shropshire. With the Shropshire Union Canal and the Regional Cycle Route 75 running through the town, it is an excellent base to enjoy long walks and cycle rides. Market Drayton has been the home of gingerbread for the last 200 years and is well-known for hosting a lively weekly market. The town centre has a variety of delightful 16th and 17th century half-timbered buildings, including many restaurants, pubs and tea rooms. A great base for exploring Shropshire!
