Location description from manager

The Lazio region

Rome

You are at the heart of ancient Rome, minutes away from the most important monuments of the Eternal City. The apartment is located in the District VI 'Parione' on the border with the District VII 'Ponte', a few steps from Piazza Navona and the Bramante's Cloister (1504).It is the most evocative area of the historic enter, with a Renaissance connotation, even if around each corner you you find many traces of the ancient Rome. From this enchanted place you can easily walk to Piazza Farnese and to the famous Campo de Fiori, where since 1869 there has been a flower and fruit market every morning. In a few minutes, walking through streets soaked of history, you arrive at the Pantheon, the Colosseum and the Fori Imperiali. It 'a wonderful spectacle to walk to other extraordinary places such as the Castel Sant'Angelo, the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, the St. Peter's Basilica...The area is full of bars, grocery stores, restaurants, shops, wine bars, pubs and restaurants.

“Great location, clean and nice”

Reviewed 7 Jul 2015

This is a nice flat in a very good location. Easy walking distance to many of the most famous spots in Rome and also right next to some great restaurants and bars. The property managers were kind and extremely accommodating.

“Location, location, location”

The location of this apartment is what sells it. This apartment is literally steps from Piazza Navona, shops, markets, restaurants, etc. No need for a car - you can walk everywhere. Like prior reviews, I have to say it was often loud outside at night, it is not updated and fancy and the bed was not all that comfortable but we were not in the apartment all that much so it did not affect us. Wifi worked great. After walking throughout all of Rome I still feel this is the best place to stay. The climb up the stairs is not for older people so if you are traveling with elderly individuals, this would not work for you. The refrigerator and washing machine came in handy and we never cooked given the fact we were steps from restaurants! Very easy dealing with the management company; they are very accommodating.

“Apartment in very good condition”

“Wow. Best location, relaxing.”

My teen daughters and I stayed for 6 days at the Via della Pace apartment. I LOVED the location - a stone's throw from a great bar to watch the World Cup matches, the excellent Da Francesco restaurant and the tasty Gelateria del Teatro a short walk away. My girls loved the apartment and enjoyed having a kitchen. Grocery stores are very close. Everyone slept very well (close the shutters to drown out the lively scene outside.) I miss Rome and "our" apartment there. It was also very easy to work with HomeAway.

“Great location, but loud!”

Reviewed 12 Jun 2014

The apartment itself it very nicely appointed; nothing fancy, but comfortable and spacious. It's centrally located, which means loud street noise until 2AM. Actually, the bedroom was somewhat quieter. It was easy to get to, and our greeter was very helpful, even helping us carry our bags up to the third floor. Oh, that's the other thing; third floor, no lift. But you certainly work off all the pasta and pizza that way!

“Nice place in the perfect location”

Reviewed 3 Sep 2013

This is the PERFECT location to see Rome from. We took a taxi from Termini to the apartment and did not need any transportation again until we took a taxi to the airport four days later. We are a couple in our 40s and the walks from the apt to EVERYTHING (Colloseo, birthday cake, Forum, Vatican, Pantheon, Trastevere, Trevi, Spanish Steps) were reasonable. The apartment was clean and nice. Perfect for a couple and probably fine for a total of 3 or 4 people if they slept on the pull out couch. There were two A/C units and a washer/spinner so we could do laundry. They were responsive via e-mail and a nice young woman met us in the restaurant below (the entrance to the apt is literally between tables in a good outdoor restaurant) with keys and a map at the appointed time. She answered all our questions. Tips: Apt is on the 4th floor and there is no elevator, so you will be huffing with the luggage. bring the map everywhere and plan sites to see in a given direction, as there is so much to see in every direction. Leave for the Vatican by 6 or 7 am or face long lines and big crowds. everyone in Rome is uberstylish, but you will be more comfortable in shorts and sneakers for walking... Trastevere was neat to walk around and the restaurants were cheaper.

Owner's reply: Thank you! We hope to see you again soon!
