The sacred covenant of hospitality has ancient roots in classic cultures. The poet Homer, through his famous hero Odysseus, reminds us of the fundamentals rules of this covenant, which in Greek takes the name of Xenia. It was built on unwritten guidelines and behaviors that can be summarized in two basic rules: -respect of the host for the guest- respect of the guest for the host.

We remind our guests to pay the tourist tax of the Municipality of Rome cash at the check in. It is 3.50 euro per person per day (if over ten years old).

The check in is from 15:00 to 20:00. After 20:00 there is a penalty of 20 euro you can pay for your reservation by selecting extra costs on your quote or pay it cash at the check in.

We remind our guests that smoking in the apartment is not permitted and that it is ethically correct to enforce it.

We reserve the rights to allow pets in the apartment on a case-by-case basis.

I'm always available by phone for any communication and ready to intervene in case of need. For the rest, except for the check in and check out our guest will enjoy its privacy throughout your period of stay.

That said we wish you a happy stay in the eternal city and hope to foster with you a long term relationship.

Palazzo Cappi is where the Pujè Pujè Holiday home is located is building dating King Umberto 1st period, he was killed by the anarchist Gaetano Bresci in Monza on July 29th 1900. The imposing structure has been, for a long time, the place where young roman architecture students would gather to study the new building techniques of the newly appointed Capital of unified Italy.

Palazzo Cappi stands out high above one of the highest hills in Rome and it's at the beginning of the historical Rione Monti.

Right behind, the Esquilino, long time ago the site of prestigious Imperial Rome villas, today a multiethnic neighborhood with its characteristic local market and the many commercial activities mainly Asian.

St. John Lateran Archbasilica site is inserted in UNESCO's World Heritage List.

The archbasilica of St. John the Baptist and the Evangelist at the Lateran is Omnium Urbis et Orbis Ecclesiarum Mater et Caput, mother church of all Rome's churches and in the world and it was erected by emperor Constantine. Became papal residence until the Avignon papacy and before moving to St. Peter in the Vatican. . The Scala Sancta is, according to tradition, the one Jesus climbed leading up to the praetorium of Pontius Pilate and is one of the holiest sites in Cristianity.

The Lateran Obelisk was built during the pharaoh era in 15th century B.C and was brought to Rome by Constantius II in 357 and erected to decorate the spina of the Circus Maximus. Saint Francis of Assisi stayed at the Lateran site three months before being received by the Pope and to be granted approval to found the new and revolutionary monastic Order.

The Stradone di San Giovanni was at the end of Papal route, or rather the itinerary the procession took from St John at the Lateran to St. Peter in the event of a new Pope installation.

The Historical Museum of the Libération is located in Via Tasso and collects original documents, relics, newspapers and manifests, flyers, scripts and iconographic material relatives to Rome's Nazi occupation and the struggle that led the city of Rome to be awarded the gold medal for military valor in the fight for liberation. The night of the Witch . It belongs to the recent past also one of the most popular festivals by the Romans, and that took place in San Giovanni on the night between 23 and 24 June. The people flocked to the Lateran, where, according to legend, the witches were mustered by the ghosts of Herodias and Salome, damned for having caused the beheading of St. John. It was also a night of debauchery. The people crowded the taverns on this side and beyond the Porta San Giovanni to drink and eat stewed snails (because it was thought that would promote reconciliation and overcoming conflicts).

From our apartment can easily reach the metro lines A (for the Basilica di San Pietro), B (for the Basilica of St. Paul), and soon the new line C. The buses that stop near the main entrance to our building, connecting you to the main central areas of Rome.

The green line 117 electric has the terminus in the Square of San Giovanni in Laterano, pass through a characteristic path that winds in the Rione Monti, up to Piazza del Popolo and the Pincio, with its superb Villa Borghese.
