Description from owner

Description

Elegant and quiet room in an ancient Umbertine (1890) building in the centre of Rome, between St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums. The high ceilings of the apartment permit a loft area in the guest room, that holds a single bed, while there is a king sized bed and a fold out single in the downstairs part of the room. No cooking facilities but there is a mini fridge available.

Romantic for couples, ideal for a family, comfortable for business people. Bed linen provided, towels provided, housekeeping twice a week or when asked. Breakfast is not included (6 euro); there are several food and drink facilities in the same block, including the best ice cream in town "Old Bridge"!

Location description from owner

The Lazio region

Lazio offers both seasides and mountains and lakes. Many historical towns and villages, including the termal baths of Viterbo.

The name of the region also survives in the tribal designation of the ancient population of Latins, Latini in the Latin language spoken by them and passed on to the city-state of Ancient Rome.

Rome

Lively shopping area of Prati, very close to historical sites, St. Peter's Basilica, Vatican Museums-Sistine Chapel, St. Angel Castle, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, piazza Cavour. As well as Rome, towns such as Viterbo and Tivoli offer medieval and renaissance architecture, and for nature lovers the lakes Bracciano, Vico and Bolsena are well worth a visit.

“An ideal location in Rome!”

Reviewed 15 Jun 2013

The location is definitely the best about this room. Even though it is not very big, it is fine for 4 persons. The owner is very helpful. The only thing missing is a small kitchen. But we really enjoyed the place as everything was rather close and we could walk to any interesting site in Rome.

It is a spacious room with a loft and an ensuite bathroom, small fridge and air conditioning, but it is not advertised as a flat.
