The Lazio region

Lazio is the center of Italy where Rome is and it is sometimes called "the Eternal City", it is also the capital city attracting visitors from all over the world to see its ruins, Renaissance squares, museums, piazzas, fountains, and baroque churches and even beaches.

Rome

This area is a fantastic place to walk and explore. There is a lot of history here and many restaurants to eat at, bars and this is the place where local people mingles. At dusk this becomes a hot spot of locals who parade the streets and eat their suppers. This area connects the Vatican with the Ancient central Rome although it is across the Tiber.

“Large spacious apartment in a beautiful neighborhood overlooking Rome”

Reviewed 15 Nov 2015

We really enjoyed living in an apartment in an Italian neighborhood on a hill overlooking Trastevere. We were able to spend several days experiencing Trastevere, a charming section of Rome. The apartment was within walking distance to a bus that took you to the central part of Rome but by evening it was nice to get away from the crowd of tourists. The owner and manager were both wonderful in answering questions before we went and in helping us with information and directions once we arrived there. There were 6 of us, 3 couples, traveling together and there were 3 bedrooms with very good mattresses and 2 bathrooms. We had more than enough space. We would recommend this apartment for anyone who wants to experience Rome the Italian way.

“Bright,clean , spacious and lovely.”

Reviewed 3 Nov 2015

The apartment was a large, clean 3 bedroom with 2 full baths. We arrived earlier than the regular check in time ,but we were met and allowed to check in. The manager Chris was always prompt in his email replies and he was very helpful in arranging transport etc. The apartment is on a hill with beautiful views but if your are walking it means 162 stairs connect you to Trastevere. If you have difficulty with mobility there is a taxi stand a few blocks away. It is a very safe neighborhood , with a grocery store, laundry, bank, just a few short blocks away.

"I am very thankful of you for sparing me your time and leaving your wonderful comment. I am also very grateful of having you as my guests. Looking forward to welcoming you back in the Eternal City on your next visit."

“Great place, plenty of room, very attentive vendor and very helpful”

This was all we could want -- a quiet and large apartment in Trastevere in a neighborhood but close to the action. Small neighborhood restaurants were very inviting and we were no more than 10 minutes walk from the bridge to the Rome attractions.

“This apartment is first class and such good value in comparison to anything else in Rome.”

Reviewed 2 Aug 2013

My family’s week in Rome was very delightful. The apartment was beautiful - well laid out, clean and lots of space for our family of 6, we never felt cramped. The manager “Chris” gave us a very warmth welcome, explained to us the basic stuff in the apartment, even helped out with our Rome itinerary and suggested some authentic Roman restaurants to stop by. Even from the start, “Chris” was very helpful in responding our emails. We were surprised of how the living room was shining bright during daytime (you might need to put your shades on), the decors were very nice. The Wi-Fi service was very reliable, the kitchen had all the stuff that our family needed for preparing meals. It is situated in the upper part of the Trastevere area and mobility was very easy – there are bus stops and taxi stand just few blocks away which take you to all parts of Rome and bring you back to the apartment. Alternatively, there are stairs which takes you to the Viale Trastevere in no time. It is in quiet location but with many amenities close by - supermarkets, farmer’s markets, restaurants, bars, newspaper stands. We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment, we will definitely recommend this to our friends and family. When we come back in Rome, we will surely stay in this apartment again! Arrivederci Roma!

“We have found an excellent apartment!”

Reviewed 9 May 2013

From the wonderful owner's website we knew we found an excellent apartment and actually it exceeded our expectations. We put it down as one of the most beautiful accommodations our family of 6 had stayed in. The apartment was huge and was beautifully decorated, the host was the friendliest we have ever met, we felt at home in an instant. The property was clean and the kitchen was well-equipped that we have prepared most of our meals. Just what is published, it is really away from the crowd and busy streets yet in the historical center with many amenities nearby. Oh and upon your check-in, we appreciated the cold drinks that Chris offered us while helping us plan our itinerary. Best service ever! We definitely recommend Belvedere Monteverde.
