The Metro A is 100 meters from the apartment: Furio Camillo stop is useful to easily reach Termini Station or the Historical Centre.
The Tuscolana station is just 800 meters from the apartment and connects directly with the International Airport of Fiumicino (FCO).
The Lazio region
Home of the Latins and then the Romans, Lazio is an ancient land, where signs of past grandeur are found in every corner of its amazing landscapes, fitting perfectly into the colourful and varied natural setting. The historical architectural, archaeological and artistic heritage combines harmoniously with the surrounding environment, ranging from the Apennine Mountains to plains and hills; where the parks and nature reserves testify to the ancient origins of unspoilt sites, together with splendid lakes and the shores of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The northern part of Lazio, which goes by the name of Tuscia in the Province of Viterbo, is one of the most interesting and fascinating areas of Central Italy. Extending over the Volsini, Cimini and Sabatini Mountains to Lake Bolsena and then to the Tyrrhenian coast, Tuscia has varied landscapes, charming old towns and Etruscan necropolises of enormous historical and cultural value.
The Sabina area is in the north-eastern part of the region, bordering on Umbria, Marche and Abruzzo, in the territory of the Province of Rieti, extending from the banks of the Tiber to the rather low, isolated Sabini range and the Reatini extension of the central Apennines, location of the highest mountain, Terminillo, with an altitude of 2,213 m. And then there is the coastal area of the Province of Latina extending from the Alban Hills to the Lepini and Ausoni mountains. A unique area, a marine terrace including the unforgettable Circeo promontory and the splendid Pontine Islands.
South-east of Rome we come to the Ciociaria valley, a land of history, culture and tradition including the flat and hilly areas of the Liri and Sacco valleys; the Ernici mountain area, and, on the other side, the inland slopes of the coastal ranges of the Lepini, Ausoni and Aurunci.
The apartment is surrounded by fine shops, restaurants and bars, and is located near the park of Villa Lazzaroni, in the heart of "Appius Latino", a fantastic shopping district on the famous "Via Appia" which is a must for those who want to shop, or enjoy an aperitif in one of the most exclusive bars in Piazza Re di Roma. The apartment is well served by public transport, with the Metro Line A (station Furio Camillo), which is just 100 meters walk, which is useful in only a few stops to Termini Station or Downtown. The "Tuscolana" station is just 500 meters from the apartment and connects you directly to the International Airport of Fiumicino.
The Parco della Caffarella is a few minutes walk from the apartment and is one of the largest green areas of Rome, where you will find trails for relaxing walks and excursions by bike. The area is part of the "Park of Appia Antica", which is famous for its incredible and exciting walk, unique in the world. With only 10 minutes walk to the majestic Basilica "St. John Lateran," which faces the Mure Aureliane that surround the ancient Rome and from there you can walk to the Roman Forum and the Coliseum, both reachable with Metro

“Absolutely lovely apartment and welcoming hosts”
This apartment is just wonderful. Everything is sparkling and in very good order. Excellent artful setting...Picasso meets Sakura! Beautiful little balcony. The subway is four blocks away; you are in the heart of Rome in ten minutes. Lovely super market is two blocks. There is a cafe at the end of the block. I highly recommend it.
Thank you Betsy, we loved your company and we are glad you had a good experience. Looking forward to have you here again in the next future. Take care, Valerio
We stayed at the Sakura Accomodation for 4 nights en we enjoyed it very much. The owner Valerio is very helpfull en is quickly available for any questions. The appartement is clean and everything you need is in there. The bed sleeps very good! The subway station is just 5 minutes walk from the appartement and you only have to go 4 or 5 stops to discover Rome from this location.
Thanks a lot guys, I appreciated your review.
“One word: excellent !”
My stay in Rome - one week - was amazing, and I truly believe that this flat and Valerio - the owner - played a huge role in making this happen. The flat is modern and practical. Good location. Valerio was always available to help us out and gave us tips. If I were to go back to Rome, I'll rent this flat again without hesitating one second. Grazie !!
Thank you for your staying, really hope to see you again in Rome, anytime soon. Take care, Valerio
“As near perfect as it can be !!!”
We have been using self catering accommodation for 30 years and have been in many vacation lets. Neatly all were good and a few were very good but this is the best of maybe 25- 35 that we have visited. Even the very best - which would be five star - always had something e.g . " pity they didn't have x or y! This was our first where literally we could find not even a minor improvement Valerio took the trouble to meet us at Rome Tuscolana which was further from the flat than Furio Camillo metro but there was no change at Termini . In my opinion if you can walk and wheel bags then go to Tuscolana. This was so typical of Valerio who is not just a host - he is a friend . The flat was idea. - Valerio took the time to explain all the gadgets like the oh so vital coffee machine. It is just ( or better than!) as described in the description. The location close to Metro A was great and also very easy to reach Appia Antica. Don't go go back into centre but head out of torn and take a link bus . Many good eateries nearby but don 't miss the gelateria near the metro. 10 days later I am still in denial. Book it now and don't miss this gem - the pictures really do it justice!!
Time passed with you has been delightful, we thank you for that. Regards Valerio
“great self-catering stay”
The apartment's location, although not in the city centre, was well connected to the metro as welll as the train and bus stations. Getting to the city centre never took more than 15min and the train to the airport is a 40min ride and conveniently close. As it is only a single room apartment it will not be recommended for groups but for a couple it is perfect. The apartment was very well decorated, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. They really thought of everything and I loved the coffee machine! There are numerous nice shops and restaurants in the area so staying at home was also a great way to experience local life. The owner Valerio cannot be more helpfull, hospitable and overall attentive to your needs. It was a great stay in a fabulous city to explore!
I really thank you for your choice and your lovely company. Hope to have a chance in the near future to see you again. Regards Valerio
“Absolutely wonderful holiday apartment!”
Staying at the Sakura was a brilliant decision! From when we first arrived at the train station, Valerio kindly welcomed us to Rome and drove us to the apartment , showing us the main metro stations and good places to eat and drink. We were only visiting Rome for 3 days - and hadnt really planned our visit - Valerio has prepared a book of maps and trip ideas which is available in the apartment and is a nice touch. All facilities in the apartment are top notch, the shower was amazing and the bed was incredibly clean and comfortable. All kitchen utensils are provided and everything inside is spotless and modern (exactly like shown in the pictures if not better in real life) We could not have expected a nicer place to stay whilst in Rome (especially for this price) or a nicer welcome. I would absolutely recommend this apartment to travellers, either for a weekend or longer stay. It is very easy to get to all the sights, (5-10 mins by metro) and the metro is cheaper than the london underground.
And wonderful guests as well...thanks a lot! We look forward for your next visit. Regards Valerio
We rented this 1-bedroom apartment for two days to stay in Rome after cruise. Where very glad to obtain nice, well decorated and clean apartment in a nice and clean building. The owner of the apartment Valerio met us and provided all the information about the apartment, transportation, restaurants. Apartment is completely equipped with absolutely everything necessary for short or long stay, including bedding, towels, dishes, pots/pens, hairdryer, iron and all other things that we use daily at home. Supermarket, metro and bus station are very close. We are very thankful to Valerio.
We try to give the best experience as possible so we are glad you liked Sakura. We are glad to know our customers are satisfied. You have been very nice Guests, thanks and hope to see you again soon! Valerio & Flaminia
“Perfect place to visit Rome!”
It's a very nice place, clean ad really confortable to visit Rome. It's close to Metro so it's easy to go everywhere in Rome and Vatican City. Friendly management.
Thank you for your review. We really look forwrad to have you again in Rome. Many thanks. Valerio
“To visit Rome with style!”
I spent a WE in Rome and could not find a better place than Sakura! At walking distance from the METRO (Roma undergroud) and the Sangiovanni landmark Basilica, surrounded by shops and restourants, easy to reach from the airport and so close to the historical city centre. But inside the apartment I was surprised to find a stylish, clean and new environment, even better than described, with all you need for your stay. And the host is sooo nice and helpful! I definitely would recommend it for your trip to Rome; hope to be back soon :)
Thank you Mr.Panu, we'd love to have you again here in Rome, at Sakura of course! Regards Valerio
