Location description from owner

The Lazio region

Lazio is the region where is rome the italian capital. it is near the tirrenian sea, so has a nice weather. ther is the wind called " ponentino " coming from sea who always blow toward the city of Rome in the summer and is particulary agreable.

Rome is surraunded from the 7 hills ( i sette colli ). Full of small villages where you may go to make walking...see the lakes...and find good small restaurants...

Rome

Well...speaking about Rome...is easy...but also difficult. is a city full of historical and important monuments ( colosseo foro romano st. peter catedral many many other churches) . Near my house you can visit trastevere. is the most old place of rome. where you will find caracteristic old houses, street very small , shops , many restaurants and pizzerie.

I will suggest my guests where to go to have a very good dinner eating a fresh fish. you will find in my house a program of the music, classical , theatre . If you are a sport person, you can have swimming just near the house. or play tennis. ( may be with me.... ) and much more things...

“Fantastic home, excellent location and very homely!”

Reviewed 8 Aug 2013

We were in Rome with our two children 15 and 11. From the very start of the booking process Vittorio was very helpful with answering all our questions. He even arranged someone to collect us from the airport and take up back at the end of the holiday. This service was very prompt and Roberto the driver was on time and very nice. Once we reached the apartment, Vittorio was waiting for us and he showed us around the apartment. The apartment has a very traditional feel and also feels very homely with all the necessities for a comfortable stay. it's airconditoned which was a bonus. The kitchen has everthing, washing machine, cooker, dishwasher, microwave and again everthing you would need need for breakfast, lunch or dinner. There is a supermarket just next door which sells everyting you would need, so dont worry if you forget something! There is a bank downstiars and a restarant called Ill pozzo which is reasonably priced. Vittorio gave us lots of useful information to help us with our holiday and to get around by bus, this itself was invalueable and a very personal service. I would reccomend this apartment to everyone, you will not be dissapointed! Thanks Vittorio for everything!!

“Very comfortable and spacious ideal for a family of four”

Reviewed 5 Nov 2012

We have just returned from a week staying in this lovely apartment in Rome. It is warm, comfortable and very spacious. the kitchen is well equiped which meant we could self cater and travel to Rome on a budget. The large balcony was ideal for enjoying a sunny breakfast and the apartment block feels very secure within a well maintained gated community. There are three big supermarkets near by and a few nice cafe bars. There are 3 good bus routes to various areas of the city centre which means all the main attractions are easy to get to within a 20 minute bus ride. We also walked into the centre on one day and this only took an hour which was an easy walk. The owner of the accommodation was really helpful and trustworthy and gave us lots of information about Rome and collected us from the local train station and then also took us back there at the end of our stay (very convenient with our suit cases). The only downside is that it is located in the suburbs however, we saw this as a positive to enjoy a taste of living amongst locals and experience the real Rome. We certainly recommend this apartment and believe that you will not be disappointed.

“Great Value, Convenient, Away from the Tourist Crowds”

Reviewed 23 Oct 2012

The apartment is located in a secure residential compound that is very close to two major supermarkets, restaurants and cafe just downstairs that serves up excellent coffee is extremely popular with the locals. It is closest to the neighbourhood Trastevere and although it is quite a distance from the main city centre, once you figure out the how to get to the tram and metro, you'll find it is actually quite convenient to get around. There is a bus on the street outside that connects to the tram no. 8 and the Metro. The apartment itself is spacious and clean. A few pieces of the furniture could do with a little upkeep, but other than that everything was more than satisfactory. It was extremely good value for the price we paid. The best part of our stay here was our interaction with the apartment owner, Vittorio. He is a fatherly figure who looked out for our safety and offered us a wealth of information about where to go and how to get around. He readily went out of his way to help us communicate with the Italian-speaking locals and even got us an excellent rate on the taxi fare to the airport. We highly recommend this place for budget travelers and families.
