Situated at the heart of Rome, at a five minutes distance from the intimate, peacefull and magnificent surroundings of the Coliseum, these newly-developed adjacent apartments, totally renovated in 2015, on the first floor of an antique and prestigious palace feature, among other things, comfort, silent and peacefull nights and serenity with a doorman at your service. They are side by side separated by a wall and have individual entrances but share the same Roman courtyard, with its traditional and antique look and a doorman at the front that guarantees our hosts cleanliness, a valid help and security. Both multiple families, couples or groups are welcomed, the two apartments together can accommodate up to 11/12 people. With its archaeological district, these unique locations promise to make your stay with us enjoyable and memorable and at the same time, you would not have to worry about transportation, two metro stations and the main bus stops are right outiside the building and/or neighbourhood markets because they are all accessible to you at a short distance. Tranquillity and security are guaranteed due to the excellent reliability of the daily reception service and the safe historic district it is situated in. These quaint lofts, situated at the Coliseum, together are approximately 175 square meters in size and are located inside a typical Roman courtyard with their own entrance. I decided a short while ago to build on my idea and set up two apartments in the historical centre of the City, a hop and a skip away from the Coliseum and in the most striking and elegant part of Rome: "Comfy @ Colosseum"(100% wheelchair accessible) and "The Doorstep to the Colosseum". The second apartment is first and foremost accessible to everyone and up to four fit comfortably in it, while the first apartment is accessible to everyone and in particularly those with physical disabilities, elderly, multiple families and up to seven people fit comfortably in it. Being both of them side by side separated by a wall and sharing the same Roman courtyard but with two individual entrances are perfect for groups up to 11/12 people. Hygiene and cleanliness have always been of big importance to me and so i personally make sure that every room is immaculate. These apartments have been built to really make everyone feel at home and still have the sense of being in a different city swarming with culture and history. These two independent apartments are equipped with two kitchens, cookers, two dinners tables, one for four and the other for eight, fridges, freezers, microwaves, ownes, wood stove glass, dishwasher, washing machine. Two livingrooms equipped with satellite TV. A total of five double bedrooms, two of which are accessible to those who are disabled. Four bathrooms(one of which 100% wheelchair accessible equipped with large flat shower, showerchair, grabrails) complete with toilets, sinks, four showers. Also two modern sofa-beds are there and also available in the apartments a baby cot. All bedrooms and livingrooms possess professional air conditioning system, Internet WiFi and TV lcd making it comfortable for all. Guide dogs are also welcome. Silent, peace are guaranteed for your quiet and resting night. So your privacy is. Above all, the building has been recently inspected and all licenses have been renewed and security measures have been taken to ensure and guarantee proper safety and security. Enjoy your stay with us.

Location description from owner

The Lazio region

Lazio is the main italian region, is where Rome, the capital is situated.TO BE SEEN:The Palatine, Roman Forum, Domus Aurea, Arch of Constatine, House of Augustus, House of Livia120At the end of the Republican Age, when Rome had become the capital of a vast empire stretching from Gaul to Asia Minor, the old Roman Forum proved to be too cramped to efficiently serve as the city’s administrative and monumental centre, to be the very hub of public life.

Rome

Here is where these apartments are located. 196It may be two thousand years old but the Colosseum is still the symbol of the eternal city, every year drawing thousands of visitors, meaning long queues and an endless wait.In order to avoid the problem, a ticket may be purchased in advance through the tourist contact centre, by phoning 060608 or visiting the website www.pierreci.it.…Or alternatively by buying one of two tourist cards: the “Roma Pass” which is valid for three days and entitles holders to free admission and no-queue entrance for the first two museums and to free travel throughout Rome, or the “Archeologia Card” which is valid for 7 days and allows free entry into each of the following sites: Palazzo Massimo, Palazzo Altemps, Crypta Balbi, Terme di Diocleziano (Baths of Diocletian), the Colosseum, the Palatine, Terme di Caracalla (Caracalla Baths), Villa dei Quintili, Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella. In 54 B.C., Julius Caesar was the first to come up with another square, originally intended as merely a straightforward extension of the Republican Forum. Caesar’s Forum was followed by Augustus’, then the Transitional (built by the Emperor Domitian and inaugurated by the Emperor Nerva) and, finally, Trajan’s Forum, which is undoubtedly the grandest. Together, the archaeological sites make up, from an urban standpoint, an organic complex renamed in the modern era the “Imperial Forums”, reaching from Capitol Hill (Campidoglio) to the foot of the Quirinale Hill.Between 1924 and 1932, the Imperial Forums resurfaced following the demolition of which had been over the centuries built on top so as to clear the way for today’s Via dei Fori Imperiali.

“Great help, great time, great space.”

Reviewed 28 Aug 2015

I took my whole family to Rome. We rented both apartments. We are not an easy family. My one son has been on life support for 19 years. We travel with two nurses and lots of medical equipment. Salvatore Rinaldi and his family were great in helping us each step of the trip. How do I?, Where do i?, How an I get the wheelchair in? Without his help this trip would not have happened. The apartments were clean and the spot was quiet. The courtyard was a place for all of us to meet. The doorman like Sal was very helpful. The decor was carefully chosen and made us feel at home in our short term adopted city. Sal and his family have really done a great job in providing a bright spot to stay in. We were 12 people and all had a great time. Try it, you will like it and the emories you take with you will be wonderful. Cheers!

“We have already booked to come back!”

Reviewed 2 Jun 2015

A superb apartment catering for every kind of stay. Whether you have older people in your party or children the apartment is perfectly situated with just a short walk to the Colosseum and open top tour bus stop. There are small grocery stores a few doors away and the apartment is to the rear of the building opening onto a beautiful court yard so you cannot hear the hussle and bustle of this amazing city. The apartment has everything you need and is immaculate and there is nothing the owner won't do for you. I would recommend this amazing stay for families, senior citizens, group holidays and romantic stays. I have already booked to go back with friends and booked my parents to go for a romantic break. Superb!!!

“Couldn't have found a more perfectly accommodating place!”

Reviewed 17 Jan 2015

I have been to this place twice before and the reason I decided to go back there the second time was because my first experience was incredible! From great service to cleanliness and not to mention best location yet right in the heart of Rome, I would return there in a heartbeat! I am so glad I found a place to stay because this assures me that my next vacation to Rome will be another amazing experience. To top it all off, it doesn't put a dent in your pocket! This is perhaps what most travellers think about first, but I assure you you'll have enough money to roam around the great streets of Rome if you book your stay here. Recommended to families and single vacationers...have a great stay:))))

“A Perfect Break”

Reviewed 14 Jan 2015

This Italian style ground floor apartment was very well equipped and comfortable. Ideal for families, elderly and disabled. Entrance through a nice court yard. It is close to the coliseum and local transport for travelling around Rome, also plenty of bars and restaurants close by. The owner is very friendly and was helpful to us. We will be returning later this year!!

“Great central location, excellent accommodation”

Reviewed 27 Mar 2013

Great central location near the coliseum, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants close by. The standard of both apartments was extremely high and great value for money. Easy access, which is on the ground floor, with excellent facilities for people with disabilities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay (especially as Wales won in the rugby) and would definitely recommend these apartments.
