“The Best Part of Rome”

Reviewed 7 Jul 2015

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at Leopardo for 1 week in June. I wanted an apartment with Italian charm and characteristics. A place where my children could see a different lifestyle and where we as adults could be transformed into a different world. This place did not disappoint. Rome was not our favourite city. The saving grace was Leopardo and Trastevere. Trastevere will transport you into a wonderful world full of beauty and culture. It was a perfect setting of what we envisioned it would be like to live in Italy. Our host was very accommodating and answered fairly quickly to any questions we had. The hair dryer did not work but really who cares. Also it may be helpful to future guests to have a map of the city and little secrets on best places to eat, visit, etc. We found Rome a hard city to navigate around. I realise you can easily google all of these things but sometime I think it would be nice to get the tid bits and little secrets from the locals. Don't get me wrong though, our host was very nice! Back to the apartment though, it was very clean. It really has everything you need for a family of 4. It does get a little loud at nights but we enjoyed it. Trastevere is so lively and exciting at night. The noise never bothered us as we left the windows open. It was myself, my husband, our son (13) and daughter (2). I suppose if you want your peace and quiet you could easily close the windows. Never did the night time atmosphere bother any of us in anyway. We looked forward to it every night. I think if you want a true Italian cultural experience you have to stay here. From the wooden beams to the clothesline right out the window, Leopardo, Trastevere is by far in our opinion the best part about Rome. Oh and please don't forget to eat at the restaurant below. One of our best meals! Thank you Leopardo ;)

“Nice rental. Great neighborhood”

Reviewed 4 Jun 2015

Very nice place to stay in a great neighborhood. It was a little hard to find the first time - plan on walking a block or two - but we had instant contact with the manager who guided us right there. Close to all the sights.

“Great Trastevere Place”

Reviewed 4 Jun 2015

We found Trastevere to be a good location. It is more of a neighborhood but walkable to all the sights. This apartment was roomy and tucked away from the busier streets. We had everything we needed including Wifi. We could walk down to the street and find good places to eat. Several evenings people told us they had walked from the other side of the river to eat there. We were only steps away from our apartment.

“Fabulous location in Trestevere”

Reviewed 1 Dec 2014

Trestevere is a little more real/authentic than many other parts in the heart of Rome. It is walking distance to many of the sites. A few blocks walk to the tram and you are connected to the Trestevere rail statione that connects you to FCO. You don't need to use Termini. The apartment is above a quiet street with restaurants nearby. Pleasant light in the living area and kitchen, but the bedroom is dark because it is in the centre of the building. Great to have a washing machine and wifi in the unit! Our only criticism is that the carpet in the living room is stained and dirty; stained enough that it should be replaced so as not to detract from the pleasant furnishings. We would certainly consider booking here again!
