The Lazio region
When you arrive for the first time in the eternal city, you are impressed by the intense blue of the sky and by mild climate, in an atmosphere where ancient and modern are mixed naturally into a ceaseless dance.
Rome has to be discovered with the nose in the air, because in every corner, in every small street suddenly you will find some monument or waterworks, or a church that always and definitely deserve to be observed.
"Rome is a city like no other. It's a great museum, a living room to cross on tiptoe.
"I was born in Hollywood, grew up in Paris, but only Rome I feel like "my" city
The Via Veneto district is known as the road of the Roman Dolce Vita by Federico Fellini (literally Roman Sweet Life), the road in which Mastroianni, Anita Ekberg , Sophia Loren , Ava Gardner and Sinatra loved to walk chased by photographers, the road in which the movie-myth of those years took place, among luxury cars and champagne. The years did not affect the charm of this pathway, one of the most prestigious and exclusive in the centre of Rome, a few steps from the Quirinale, Piazza di Spagna and Via Condotti, where you can admire the windows of the most famous brands and immerse yourself in shopping. As well, you can wander through the narrow streets of the historical centre, reaching the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Campo de 'Fiori or the central Rione Monti, the oldest of the city. You can not then do not visit the Vatican, an obligatory stop for anyone visiting Rome.
Out of the building you will find small antique shops offering Made in Italy products, restaurants where you can enjoy good food at a reasonable price, places to spend a pleasant evening and bars where you can stop and relax. The nearby Piazza Fiume is the meeting place for young people, ideal to have fun and recreation. In Via Veneto you can taste a good cup of coffee in one of the historic bar of La Dolce Vita, but prices are not cheap, on the contrary many restaurants offer a great variety of dishes and products at a better price. Campo de'Fiori and Trastevere are the places of young, full of life, pub and nights where the youth of Rome are used to meet. In the centre of Rome you can find bars and cafes, stylish restaurants, trendy pubs and refined wine bars where you can taste the best Italian wines.
