The Lazio region
There is so much to do in Rome that you probably won't get a chance to venture outside of the city centre. But if you do, Lazio is the central region of Italy and considered the birthplace of the empire. The climate is mild throughout the year. You'll find Ostia's sandy beaches only 20km outside of Rome and there are many ancient archaeological sites in the area.
Trastevere rapresents the real original Rome with popular beautiful houses, loads of restaurants where to eat, nice shops and great areas such as Santa Maria in Trastevere square and monumental areas. You can reach any part of the centre of Rome

"Charming appartment in the heart of Trastevere"
Ideal location at Trastevere, very close to the action but on a quiet spot in Via Angelo Tittoni, very spacious and luminous despite the apparent small surface. The balcony is perfect for a slow-motion breakfast under the sun. Rita, our little Jack Russell, loved it. Carlo was an excellent and very flexible host and very helpful providing tips and recommendations. We'll be booking again in our next trip to Rome

"Superb location for Rome flat"
Great flat, helpful host. Ideally located for travel, walking, tram, bus. Shops and supermarket very close. Cafes and restaurants near. Trastevere friendly and busy.

"This is just a great place to stay"
Trastevere is so central to everything yo may want to see and do in Rome - we walked everywhere and loved it. The apartment is safe and secure and contains all you could ever want and more. The owner Carlo was so helpful, informative and above all friendly - well done Carlo. We will be back when next in Rome.

"Comfortable apartment in terrific location"
My partner and I stayed in this apartment for two weeks, and felt extremely comfortable and 'at home'. The apartment is light and airy, with a very large living area, well-equipped kitchenette, comfortable bedroom with plenty of storage space, and a bright and clean bathroom with a washing machine and an external window. There is a lovely little balcony off the main living area where we spent many an hour just sitting and watching the world go by beneath us! Wifi is provided, which was very welcome. The owner of the apartment, Carlo, couldn't have been more kind and helpful to us, responding promptly and efficiently to a couple of requests. The location of the apartment is terrific. Away from the main touristy areas of Rome but within very easy walking distance of all the main sights and attractions. In fact we didn't use public transport once. It is a very short and pleasant walk over the Tiber to reach the historical part of Rome. Trastevere itself is full of great cafes and restaurants, as well as food shops, clothes shops etc.. As I said above, we felt very much at home and would not hesitate in recommending this apartment. In fact I am certain we will be back!

"Excellent apartment in Trastevere"
We stayed here for a week in July: me, my wife & daughter. Very spacious apartment with all mod cons. We visit Rome regularly & this is definitely an apartment we would use again - great value in an excellent location, close to amenities, public transport, with a balcony overlooking a great little restaurant. All the arrangements for keys etc went well - Carlo is a very helpful host who speaks good english. All in all an apartment I would highly recommend.

"Felt like home!"
The apartment and the location made the this one of our favourite memories of the five weeks we spent in Italy. We stayed for a week in Trastevere and never ate in the same place twice. Everywhere you look there is a wonderful place to eat, sit, relax and enjoy. The apartment was an island of tranquility away from the crush of tourists. Very comfortable we felt at home whenever we opened the door.
