Location description from owner

The England region

All year round entertainment, daytime and evening, including International, sports, cultural and community events, there really is something for everyone. Weymouth Beach and Esplanade is the home of many of the events and festivals that take place in the borough throughout the year, and most of these are free to spectate.

Most of these events take place during the day, and for some, including Weymouth Sea Festival, Carnival and Show Night, the streets come alive with stalls, markets exhibitions, games and funfairs.

As night-time approaches, the resort comes alive with a new-found atmosphere. Why not enjoy an evening meal on the harbour and watch the comings and goings of boats and other crafts?

There are many bars and clubs for the young-at-heart with various themed nights and regular live music from some great local bands.

Watch the fireworks light up the bay, or catch a show at the theatre, but most of all keep your options open and take a look at the wide variety of entertainment on offer!

Rodwell

Weymouth's beach, town centre and historic harbour are just minutes away from the house by foot. Why not visit Portland Harbour and watch the sailing Olympics 2012. The views from the bay are spectacular, stretching across the horizon taking in the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline.

There is so much to see and do for all the family making Weymouth the ideal location. The old harbour has several bars, cafes and restaurants offering traditional fish & chips to full a la carte menus to cater for all tastes.

“Perfect location for us”

Reviewed 6 Sep 2016

Number 8, was the perfect location for us only 5mins from Weymouth town centre and 2 mins away from Brewers Quay and the harbour. Stunning views of the coast from the bathroom window and living room balcony. Beds were very comfy and we loved the nautical themed decor. My only minor criticism is that four adults had to share the ensuite shower as there was no shower screen in the main bathroom. We would definitely return here if we visited Weymouth again.

“Great location!”

Lovely large house. At first we though we were far from the town centre, then followed the instructions in the owners book and saw how quick it was to walk to the harbour! Not to mention the beautiful Nothe gardens and cove which is right outside the house. That was so lovely, we were so happy to be staying there. If you like walking you will love this place- I could have stayed twice the time. The harbour IMHO is the nicest part of Weymouth, so pretty and full of lovely bars/restaurants and kids crabbing. There's a great open square 5 mins walk from the house with bars, restaurants and fairy lights which was so pretty at night (Hope Square?). From the harbour you could do boat trips, and there was a really handy rowboat which took you across the harbour to the Pavilion main sandy beach area without having to walk all the way to the bridge. We did this both ways every day! Main beach is fabulous but tacky, a traditional beach area with amusements, fair rides, chip shops, Punch & Judy etc. The house is closest to the best end of the beach. We got the landtrain to the Sealife Centre once (well worth a visit, beautifully kept, son loved it) and the beach was very pebbly at that end. The 501 open top bus to Portland Bill lighthouse was one of the best bits of our visit- such beautiful scenery. Pick it up by the kings statue to get a seat upstairs, as its full by the time it gets to the town bridge. My son loved climbing about all the rocks, we were so glad we went, and the café there was really excellent. In short- house is in perfect location, we didn't use the car once, nice clean comfortable house with good beds, games, kayaks, lovely clean new bathrooms, and a private sunny garden. Very happy with it and would return. Thanks Sean!

“Lovely house, great location, have just booked for this year!”

We stayed here in February and the walks along the coast were bracing to say the least! It was a pleasure to come back and cosy up in this lovely house. Excellently decorated and furnished with a seaside theme and a sea view. Very comfy beds, up to the minute technology with wifi and flat screen TV. The kitchen is well equipped with all you need for family meals etc. ample room for a family with two areas for dining, good size lounge, conservatory and enclosed garden. The harbour is only five minutes walk away with a good chippy and lots of pubs and shops. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

The property is well equiped and in an excellent location. Sea view and easy access to the costal path. Parking easily for two cars. A few minutes walk from the old harbour and amenities, a little further to lovely sandy beach and all that Weymouth has to offer. No need to use the car.

I stayed here for a week with some of my family. The accommodation is very clean and has all the equipment required including travel cot and highchair for my 6 month old granson. The location is fabulous and provides easy access to local amenities in particular the Nothe Gardens and the Marina. I shall definately be returning here !!!!

“An excellent property in a convenient location.”

A well equipped and recently decorated comfortable 3 bedroom house with quality furnishings. The 50 inch TV was enjoyed by all the family! We very much enjoyed our stay here and hope to return in the future.

“absolutely fabulous can't wait to go again!”

Superb house, with all modern ammenities, situated in a quiet cul-de-sac with fantastic views overlooking the sea. All rooms decorated and furnished to a very high standard, with an excellent T.V if there is the need to stay in. A short pleasant walk to the shops and a range of very good restaurants to suit everyones palate. Located nearby are lots of different areas of interest to visit. Would definitely go again.

This is a perfect location to spend with friends or family, the views are amazing from the house, the house is situated in a very quiet cul de sac, so no problems with noise. The house is in excellant clean condition, with all the appliances you could possibly need. There are plenty of lovely restaurants to eat in around Weymouth and reasonable prices. I would definately recommend this lovely house for the perfect holiday. I will definately be returning for another holiday.

“Excellent house in perfect location, highly recommended.”

Thank you for a wonderful stay in your holiday home. The house is light, spacious and airy and beautifully decorated throughout. The location is perfect as you can easily walk into town and the beach front. Plenty of great pubs and restraunts to choose from as you amble through the town. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a holiday break in Weymouth.
