“Nice place for a break”

Reviewed 25 Apr 2016

Booked the caravan for 5 people. Key and all the information you would need was posted by owner soon after i paid. Found there was plenty of room and everything was in it that you could possibly need. The hearing was fantastic and warmed up in no time. The flask inn pub was 1 minutes walk away and had a good selection of cask ales and drinks. We had a meal which was very good with decent size portions, they also held a quiz on friday nights. The only downsides we found, the walk to robinhoods bay was twice as far as we thought, about 4 miles according to google maps(not a problem in warmer months) but they have a bus stop outside the camp entrance(10min bus ride) and one bed room needed cleaning. Apart from tht we had a great time and would book it again.

Sorry I was unable to check out the caravan before your arrival, but I was in Spain when you made the booking a week before your stay. The walk to Robin Hoods bay takes about an hour through lovely countryside. As you say great in summer. A more cost effective way to get to Robin Hoods Bay than the bus for 4 or more people is to use the local taxi service which is very good.

“Flossie experience”

A very nice caravan, spotlessly clean, cosy and warm, situated on a nice quiet site Surrounded by beautiful scenery, would certainly visit again,

many thanks for your kind review, hope you enjoyed the new carpets, see you again soon Paul

“A real gem!”

Reviewed 7 May 2015

We had a wonderful stay in Flossie. The van is clean, comfortable, well equipped and really spacious. The heating is excellent too! Having 2 toilets is also very convenient especially if you are holidaying with friends. The van is on a lovely small site that is well served by a little shop, launderette and cafe and there is and excellent pub just a short stroll away. The site is in an great location between Whitby and Scarborough and from Flossie's lounge you can see the sea. The site was quiet when we stayed, which was just what we wanted and I imagine it is generally a quieter site even in high season. There is great WiFi connection in the van and a huge range of DVDs provided, but with a toddler on holiday too they weren't needed as CBeebies was the channel of choice!! We were reluctant to come home and will be booking again. Thanks Paul...you have a fantastic van!!

Thanks for taking the time to let people how much you enjoyed the caravan, I noticed cbeebies came on when I turned on the Tv Paul
