Location description from owner

The Trentino-Alto Adige region

A journey suspended between the Alps and the Mediterranean.

It stretches over the Alpine landscape before making its way down towards green lands and the mild Mediterranean climates of Lake Garda.

A natural landscape of incomparable beauty. Three large protected areas promote awareness and understanding of the territory through hikes, laboratories and research.

Trentino is the ideal destination for those who love sports in outdoors activities. Visitors can enjoy mountaineering, walking on a network of paths and - for those who prefer less strenuous activities - Nordic walking. Water sports, sailing or windsurfing fans will love Italy largest lakes, and enjoy rafting and canyoning in the rapid bearing rivers.

This unique land is reflected in the work and the products of its artisans and farmers, from apple orchards to vine-growing, from the production of soft fruits to cheeses.

A wealth of art, history, culture and traditions, represented by two cities (Trento and Rovereto) and resort town of Riva del Garda.

Trento is the City of the Council that preserves and protects the historical meeting point between Italian and Mitteleuropean culture within its monuments and arts.

Roverto is the city of the MART - the museum of modern and contemporary art - which plays host to internationally renowned events and exhibitions.

Riva del Garda with its colors, shades and traces of the good old days: Lake Garda has an exceptional charm in Riva.

North East Italy

Come and stay with Dolce Casa Riva, in Riva del Garda.

You will be fascinated by its vibrant colors: blue oligo-mineral water right down from Dolomite slopes and its blue sky, golden yellow sun, Mediterranean green olive and lemon trees, white beaches dotted with lively surfboards, a Mediterranean weather, but yet pleasant with its uniquely fresh air and no humid.

In Riva del Garda you will enjoy a multifaceted holiday combining history, art, sport and nature.

Sports-lovers will find a wide range of sport opportunities in Riva del Garda and especially in the Garda Trentino: first and foremost Sailing and Windsurfing, Diving, Fishing, Trekking, Nordic walking, Mountain-biking, Climbing, Tennis, Fixed rope route climbing, Canoeing as well as Paragliding, Horseback riding, Canyoning and Hiking.

All in all, a real open-air gym.

Riva del Garda is the main Trade Center of Trentino, with its modern trade fair and meeting facilities and its extensive international experience in cultural and sporting events.

Traces of ancient Roman and Middle Age times can be found in the town-center overlooking Lake Garda. Explore the Rocca, now home to the Civic Museum and Art Gallery, Torre Apponale (dating back to 1220), Palazzo Pretorio (dating back to 1375) and the Municipality Building, which was built between 1200 and late 1400.

Fine examples of Baroque architecture are to be found in the Chiesa dell'Inviolata as well as in the church devoted to Saint Mary of the Assumption.

“It did the job”

Reviewed 11 Dec 2013

Out of town, high on a hill. Car essential unless you really want the exercise. Haul back up the hill is great workout for teens on bikes unless you are a teen. 35-40 mins on foot. Too far for a female casual stroll. In a complex with good communal pool and tennis courts. Underground parking fine. Great view from apartment, spoilt by power lines close by and hemmed in by hill terrace. Small garden perfectly good to eat out on. Main bedroom adequate, 2nd bedroom small, living room/kitchenette small, but good enough. Bathroom ok. Main drawback - no aircon. I should have learnt my lesson from previous experience in Italy. When they say "it's cooler up the hill" everything is relative. Never go to Italy - even northern Italy, in August without aircon. 2nd drawback - as with all apartments in Italy finding one with a bath is not going to happen. The shower was ok, but it's not the same. Must be a Brit preference. 3rd drawback ant invasion. A trip to the supermarket for ant powder is always centertaining. Pluses; One Teen had top fun on the lake for a week. Garda itself and surroundings make you want to live in Italy.

We have addressed the ant issue, paid a professional ant hunter who did a fantastic job to secure the property. Shame though, as it meant destroying their habitat. Air cond is another thing we have thought about, as it's hot hot for less than 2 weeks in August, we have provided for a good fan to blow air around. We trust these adds up we will make your experience one to remember. Dolce Casa Riva

Bel appartement, très agréable. Très bon accueil. Région magnifique, beaucoup de choses à faire sur place, Super séjour ! Petits bémols : manque de climatisation et la piscine de la résidence n'est pas très bien entretenue

The condominium has hired a professional firm to take care of the swimming pool. So now, professional cleaning is guaranteed.
