From the owner

Cute apartment in great location just off Ipanema and a block from Copacabana beach. Good beds in a neat, Eurobrazilian style with wifi and cable tv. 24hr doorman. Many shops and restaurants at the doorstep.

Welcome to this very well-located, comfortable 2-bedroom apartment of about 50 m2 in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro. It is only one block of 100m to the world famous beach of Copacabana and 10 mins walk to Ipanema beach. Although the apartment is in the safe, regular part of the city, it boasts a unique view of the favela (slum) to get the real Brazilian experience.

The apartment is situated on the 11 floor of a well maintained building with 24 hr doorman. Supermarket is next door, as are many restaurants. Cinema is 4 blocks away. But who wants to stay inside in this wonderful city with sugar loaf mountain (you can hike up the first part of the cable car ride, information available), world wonderous Christ statue, the beaches, the people, the bars, the discos of a city that never sleeps? Buses stop across the street and metro station General Osorio (Copacabana exit) is 3 blocks out.

The apartment has all you need. Hot water shower in a design bathroom, small but well equipped kitchen with stove, fridge, safe, toaster, blender, micro wave oven, water purifier as well as pots and pans etc.

It has two rooms with two beds. The first room where you enter the apartment hosts a comfortable double bed of 140x200 cm, TV, stereo and a dressoir. A sliding door to the kitchen/bathroom makes for privacy. When you pass the kitchen/bathroom there is a spacious second room in the back with a very comfortable queen sized bed of 160x200 cm with NASA foam on top, the same bed as in Copacabana Palace Hotel. It has a table with chairs and a Brazilian art nouveau closet for your belongings. By the window there is a seated area with a sofa and , armchair and a 52 inch smart TV with all streaming apps applied (Netflix, HBOmax, Disney+ and PrimeVideo). Another sliding door makes the apartment perfect for a couple or two friends to stay in. Maximum occupancy is 3 people (2 big double beds). Minimum stay is 2 nights.

The apartment is air-conditioned (silent split AC, please think of the environment and use only when necessary and in economy mode) and has very fast 300 mbps WiFi.

Parking is available in the building's garage. Please notify me in advance if you need to park a car. The fee is 50 reais per day to be paid to the garage personnel.

House rules

The electric sockets are not protected so please keep that in mind when bringing kids in the age where that's important. If you bring a pet, I will charge 50 reais extra for a more thorough cleaning.
A word of advice, after 11 pm please use taxi or uber services, even for short distances. Unfortunately, Rio is not as safe anymore as a couple of years back.
No noise after 11 PM and before 8 AM. Fines can be imposed.
