Description

***UPDATE*** As you likely recall, Hurricane Maria hit the island of Puerto Rico in September 2017. We are happy to report that our villa was untouched. However, the community pool and community area between our unit and the beach front was washed away. We do not have an ETA on when re-construction will be complete. There is a temporary fence that was installed on the property line. As a result, beach access is limited to a short 5 minute walk out the front of the community and down an adjacent side street. We will provide updates as the status changes. Thank you!

Immaculate Oceanfront Villa on Corcega Beach!

Villa Sol Y Playa (Sun & Beach) is located in a safe, well-maintained, small oceanfront gated condominium community. Located on Corcega Beach, excellent for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding, the Villa is just a few minutes from town and epic surfing beaches. Villa Sol Y Playa boasts a full oceanfront view from the living room, dining room and balcony, as well as a side ocean-view from the master bedroom. The Villa was remodeled in October 2015 with a new custom kitchen, lighting/fixtures and high-end furniture.

The Villa has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and sleeps 6. The master bedroom has a king size bed, private full bathroom with tub/shower and walk-in closet. The guest bedroom has two twin size beds that converts to a king size bed and is located adjacent to the guest bathroom with stand-up shower. A queen size sofa bed in the living room sleeps an additional 2 people. The living room boasts a full oceanfront view with wall-mounted cable TV. The open custom kitchen seats 5 comfortably with bar stools at the peninsula counter and is fully stocked with all of the essentials, such as stainless steel refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, coffee pot, toaster oven, blender, pots & pans, dishes and utensils. Separate dining room overlooks the ocean and seats six people. On-site private laundry room with washer/dryer and laundry sink. Villa Sol Y Playa is a second level (14 steps) corner unit with 1,200 square feet that receives cooling year-round crosswinds throughout.

Getting Here: Villa Sol Y Playa is a 35 minute drive from the Rafael Hernández Airport (BQN) in Aguadilla and a 2-1/2 hour drive from Luis Munoz Marin International Airport (SJU) in San Juan. Renting a car is strongly suggested, not only for travel to/from the airport, but also getting around town and day trips.

About Rincón: Located on the West side of the island, Rincón is known as Pueblo del Surfing (the surfing town) and El Pueblo de los Bellos Atardeceres (the town of beautiful sunsets). Rincón, meaning corner, is surrounded by ocean on three sides and is where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea. This unique geographical feature creates a variety of beaches, offering everything from world-class surfing at Maria’s Beach to the calm family-friendly waters of Corcega Beach. The weather ranges from beautiful to gorgeous with daytime temperatures averaging 82°F (28°C) and slightly cooler nights – every day is a great day to vacation in Rincón. As a U.S. Territory, travel to Puerto Rico does NOT require a passport for U.S. citizens. The primary languages spoken are Spanish and English, the drinking age is 18 years old, the U.S. Dollar is used and driving is on the Right side of the road but signs are in Spanish and gas is purchased by the liter. Rincón is a short 20 minute drive from the town of Mayaguez, with a Sam’s Club, Super Kmart, Mall, Movies, Casino, Winter League Baseball Games and more!
