From the owner

Nestled in the sunny, Minervois wine region of southern France, the stone vineyard house of the Domaine Sainte Marie offers you a slice of authentic French country living. You can bask in the sunshine, or stay cool in the pool or inside the air conditioned house.

From its large terrace, you can dine while overlooking the private garden and swimming pool. The terrace, decorated with flowers and other plants, is equipped with wooden table and chairs and a built in barbecue. Should you find the summer sun too hot, the roll out awning provides ample shade.

Inside, you are greeted by a large open plan kitchen/dining area (50 m2), including a bespoke kitchen with solid oak counter tops and an island/bar with granite top. The ancient, hand-carved wooden fireplace and cathedral ceiling adds more than a touch of character and old world charm. Mounting the stairs, you find yourself in the mezzanine (25 m2) with its solid oak parquet floor, its three leather sofas, its large flat screen plasma TV with bluray player, a desk for your computer (wifi connection provided), and shelves with various games, puzzles, and books.

There are three spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom is double aspect, with a large bed (180 x 200), window seat, closet, and dresser with mirror. The second bedroom contains a double bed and wardrobe. The third bedroom has two single beds (90 cm wide) plus a large single bed (120 cm wide), as well a dresser for storage.

The tiled bathroom includes a bathtub with hydro-massage and glass screen for use as a shower.

All prices include the French room tax. Available June to September. Changeover day is Saturday, with arrival after 4:00 p.m. and departure no later than 10:00 a.m. Owners live on site (separate entrance, parking and yard) and take care of the swimming pool maintenance.

We live on-site (with a separate parking, yard and entrance), and we clean the pool every morning and turn the pool pump on in the morning and off in the evening. We are available to provide information on the area if desired, and should there be any problems, we do our best to take care of them as quickly as possible.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Steven (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
