Riebeek Kasteel

The Riebeek Valley is surrounded by mountains and vineyards. There are various wineries in the area that produces some of the country's best wines especially Shiraz. It is well-known for its olive groves which is celebrated once a year during the first weekend in May. Farmers offer a variety of products produced from olives for example olive oil, tapenade, olive pastes, dried olives, various flavoured olives and oils. etc Futhermore Riebeek Kasteel has interesting little shops from locally produced products to vintage items, catering for the more discerning shopper. The restaurants offer bistro style cuisine, delicious pizzas, gourmet produce, coffee shop delights and much more.

If the great outdoors is your calling you will not be disappointed, with the various hiking and biking trails. And if you are keen to swim in the blue atlantic ocean the nearest beach is only 81 km from the Valley.

There are quite a few interesting towns and villages in the area for example Darling, Tulbagh, Koringberg, etc. If you are looking for a bit more Malmesbury, Paarl and Wellington will definitely be good choices all within a 20 to 40 km radius.
