Description

A stylish, pet-friendly getaway that's convenient for London yet feels like the country: lovely for family breaks and romantic getaways. Stroll over Ham Common to a smartly renovated, listed, 1856 house. Tucked at the back you'll find a light apartment off it's own leafy courtyard. Tall windows illuminate a spacious living area of big cream sofas, wood floors and elegant dining table. Artfully arranged flowers adorn sideboards and contemporary paintings brighten walls. Step through mirrored doors to the contemporary bedroom with a charming French feel: a chandelier, a velvet throw, a choice of books from Byron to Bryson. Pick one and slip under the bubbles in a claw foot bath – or drench tired muscles in a rain shower. The small, sky-lit kitchen comes well equipped (gleaming steel appliances, champagne in the fridge). A second sitting room has a comfy sofabed and French doors that open onto the sunny courtyard garden. The pub's on the corner, Richmond station is an easy walk or bus ride.
